Just caught up with the last 10 pages of bitching on here-AGAIN.!!

Lots acting like spoilt brats-AGAIN!!

Why not just wait and see what pans out??

I personally have always wanted him at city, not because if he goes to united he will make them stronger, which he undoubtedly will, but because he would make us so much stronger.

Anyone who doesn't want RVP seriously needs to wobble their head-He is proven in the prem.

We won the league tied on points.

Van Persie was the most influential player in the league last season. Didn't he gain them something like 16 points?

So who is comfortable with him going to rags? Strategically, it's borderline suicidal.

Not this.

RVP gained Arsenal extra points because they were shite for much of the season. Plus he had the season of his life, never to be repeated IMHO.

Next season he will likely spend half of it in the physio's room like he always does. And he won't get the rags an extra 16 points because they aren't garbage and they have Rooney to bang I the goals, which sadly he does rather well.

Plus, we don't need RVP and he's no better than what we have. I am not unhappy if we don't sign him. I'd far rather we spent the money on a Yaya backup. When Yaya is not playing we look lost.

Wrong the Rags scraped loads of 1-0 victories last season. The struggled in quite a few matches as well. With a RVP and Rooney forward line they'd be very dangerous going forward. Having RVP forward would allow Shrek to drop back a lot knowing the have an out and out striker in RVP. As for RVP being no better than what we have I'll tell u he's better than Dzeko and Balotelli(at the moment). Balotelli has potential but needs to mature. RVP is an upgrade and would be perfect at City and I want him here.

If he doesn't come here I sure as hell don't want him to join the Rags.

Marwood is a twat.

I've asked a few times now and the fans who think like you don't answer.

Why?

I think our owners have earned the right to employ who they want in whatever position they want at City. It is an indisputable fact that BM is still employed and still a key cog in the player acquisition wheel. That says to me that no matter what the rumours are about his relative merits, the owners rate him highly enough to keep him employed throughout a period where many people in key positions at City from Garry Cook downwards have been let go.

Aguero and Tevez are proven. So that kills your argument stone dead

Ah, but he's better than Dzeko.

That seems to be the main argument for us signing him... bizarre.

My theory is that we looked at RVP when Tevez was looking for a move, but now that he has changed his mind, the only logic in our current interest is to up the fee Utd have to pay. Unfortunately it only delays the inevitable. The best scenario is that he goes abroad or stays at Arsenal.

There is no answer there to what Marwood has done wrong!

Here is one for you from our chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak that is Fact not fiction...

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak has heaped praise on the work of football chief Brian Marwood.
Khaldoon says the board are delighted with Marwood's impact.
"We have the right scouting, the right management of that, I have the highest regard for Brian Marwood for what he has accomplished in that area," he said.
"Hats off to Brian, he has been fantastic. It's working and it's working at all levels. The academy is not something you can judge today. It's a long-term programme. You are not going to be able to judge that success until three or four years from now."

I've always thought though that Bob doesn't actually rate Dzeko as a player for City, and I reckon Edin knows it and he'll always be down the pecking order at City.

I think Bob would be happy to replace him with RvP so that he'll have 4 strikers that he can happily rotate without ever feeling he's weakening the side.
