Robinho has reiterated his desire to extend his loan stay at Santos and hopes talks have already been initiated Manchester City. Robinho returned to Santos in January, signing a six-month loan deal that is set to expire on 4 August. The 26-year-old, who spent the first three seasons of his career at Santos, has been in impressive form and having notched up five goals in eight matches puts his refound goalscoring prowess down to his happiness.

"It was the right choice," said Robinho. "I'm good physically and mentally. I hope to continue like this until the end of my spell at Santos.

"Where I have to be happiest is within the four lines of the pitch, and this is happening. I intend to continue for long. I hope that the board is already addressing this issue. You just have to look at my face to see my desire to stay at the club."

where in that bit does it say he wants to extend his stay?

he says he is enjoying it there....and the reason he gives is cause he is playing more....he also says he hopes to continue enjoying it till the END of his loan....that doesnt say he wants to extend it

again im not saying he hasnt said it but all footballers say things like this and it should be taken with a huge pinch of salt

Thing is, Brazilian press can misquote anything they like. Even if they don't, the English press get translations wrong often.

For example, a well know newspaper quoted Robinho as saying he'd rather go fishing than join Diego at Juventus. What he actually said was he'd rather join Santos. He used their nickname which is Peixe which roughly translates to fish.

No source then. Nuff said.

the fact that you used the word "Nuff" makes me even less inclined to bother,

You didn't anyway - no loss then. Unless you find the quote I can't take your claim seriously.

I know Im telling the truth and you know the point Im trying to make which is simply that the media in general will misquote, mislead and generally make up things which are generally untrue

Not every time, however. There is no reason to believe the MUEN are making quotes up.
For the record I dont think Robbie will want to come back and part of me doesnt blame his after some of the abuse he has got on here

Yeah - I'm sure Robinho was on Bluemoon reading what was said about him!

and in the stands by fans

When? Where?

Even if he did, there are many players who have received stick and they've knuckled down and tried their best to improve.

Robinho takes the easy option and jets back to Brazil at the first opportunity. He's a gutless prima donna who doesn't give a shit about City.

And that has shown in his shocking performances which the Robinho lover boys always excuse and gloss over.

Hughes saw through Robinho.

So did Mancini.

Real couldn't get shut of him quick enough.

........from leading goal scorer one season to a focus of abuse in about a season just shows the fickle nature of some of our so called fans

From leading scorer to lazy, gutless waste of space in about a year, more like....

you clearly have issues with the player that wont allow you to see that he is a player that can only help improve our squad and chances of winning games. he wont suit every team we play against but he can also win you games with a moment of genius

thats your opinion and you are welcome to it.

just one thing though?...why cannt you take my claim seriously? do you have trust issues?

oh and secondly.....i was at the game where robinho was brought on then taken off....he was getting abuse in the stands before he was even brought on...i heard that with my own ears...but i guess that aint good enough for you either

yes there were bad performances form him.....but he got more stick than others who perform badly...he is an easy target for the typical city fan who has no higher thinking than the average gutter press in this country...he was a target for them from day one.

oh and mancini is on record as saying he wants robinho to come back (but doesnt know if he will) because he is a top class player....so i guess mancini knows best.

oh and you do remember that he had a reasonably serious injury for part of the season wheer you were calling him gutless......hence the reason he came back lacking match practise
