Robinho.

Yet another knee jerk thread.

Suppose for the sake of argument that we ignore how brilliant Robinho can be

What games this season has he been "brilliant"?

How many away games last season was he "brilliant"?

Some people have been hoodwinked by the Robinho myth.

He wasn't subbed for nothing yesterday.

Hughes wasn't fooled.

Nor has Mancini.

Real couldn't wait to get rid.

He is only "brilliant" in flashes, every now and then.

He calls himself world class. He's not fit to lace Messi's boots atm.

constantly thinking he will turn it around, now im not so sure. if he just gave some inkling that he actually wanted to be at City it would make me feel more confident. but i think this glimmer of hope is gone. unless roberto instigates a total change in attitude and form on the pitch we have to cut our losses and get rid

Did you actually go to any home matches last season or did you just watch away matches on Sky?

If you didn't see the home games against eg Hamburg, Stoke, Arsenal you missed a real treat. You missed being entertained.

Why thank you, Mr nonowt

Ok, can you tell us exactly why you would start Robinho ahead of Bellamy then?
Probably cos of this:

1. He's injured.
2. Rape case.
3. Give him another season.
4. Hughes hates him.
5. He plays just off the striker.
6. He's playing off the wrong striker.
7. Infact no, he is a left sided player after all.
8. You have to keep playing him as he has a "moment of magic" than can "change a game", despite no examples.
9. He's still working out how to adapt.
10. He's not used to the weather.
11. He sweats so that must mean he tries.
12. He is funny off the pitch though.
13. He has "inho" in his name and is Brazilian.

And finally for the brazilians/under 12's/his family:

14. He was the best player on the pitch again and you all watched a different game.

Bellers has not been 100% for quite a few games, including yesterday. I think that Robbie & Bellers sharing that position would be beneficial.
Bellers could be 1 game away from injury the way his play seems a little restricted.
Getting Rid of Robbie (without a replacement) would leave us with very few options. We are injury wracked.

Dummy's back in now. Robbie was bad yesterday no doubt but petrov, garrido and zabba were easily worse . As for Santa cruz, 18 million for a few cameo's, what a wanker

City fans near me were actually blaming robinho for the defeat yesterday, now thats clueless

I'm not talking about getting rid of him. You said you'd start with him. This, in my humble opinion of course, is quite astonishingly foolish.

Bellamy, even when having a shocker, tries his heart out and will raise the games of others around him. I have faith that he cares about us and the club, can we say that about Robinho? How many goals has Robinho scored again this season? I'm afraid we can't play him into form. We haven't got the time.

Bellamy's worse game since he joined us has been better than any Robinho performances this season.
