One more signing with Ake's attributes would make a big difference to the balance of the squad imo.

Exactly this. Rodri with two of De Bruyne/Foden/Bernardo in front of him is our strongest midfield. All 3 have the energy needed to play in front of Rodri and let him shine in his role.

If we had a young fernandihno he gets no where near being in our first team. We genuinely had one of the best defensive mids in football with fern he could do it all. And seems irreplaceable.
