They could both mix it with anyone though.

This kid couldn't mix a pancake.
I give him more than one season,he has come from a defensive team to an attacking one, sometimes anyway,he needs to learn a lot,i don't get the he doesn't do passes fowards,k have seen him do some great ones, the trouble is,normally be would have a rest then pre-season to fix things but there is none of that so I think he will continue the same,he is not an old fashioned dm like the others,he needs to be complimented

I'm not a fan of the "player X needs this, that or the other around him" argument tbh.

A record signing shouldn't need nothing but his boots mate.

Record signings should be a game changer and able to deal with whatever is thrown at them.

Exactly this. Rodri with two of De Bruyne/Foden/Bernardo in front of him is our strongest midfield. All 3 have the energy needed to play in front of Rodri and let him shine in his role.
Hey Easy, it's easy for us, my pregame selection was precisely that, but it's not that easy if you decide to over think and complicate it, snooker yourself, and then not react when it's not working, then make the wrong choice when it's too late. Still like Pep to stay, but that team selection was the biggest wtf? moment pretty much since he's arrived.

This guy ain’t it , if we wanted a slow plodder who can’t tackle and passes it side sides we should of played Ilkay in the 6 all last season and spent the money on this camel on a forward or left back or centre half. Most pointless signing since we got nolito

All those years dinho had to carry yaya forgotten about already?

Do you like any of our players ?

Come on Kaz that's completely different.

Yaya was a game changer and could win games on his own.

A real "record signing" if you may.

If Rodri "needs legs" around him in order to be any good we shouldn't be spending club record sums on him.

That's the kind of thing the scum did with Pogba and we've crucified them for that.

He is the closest thing to Busquet. But unfortunately, the Busquet era of football might be coming to an end.

It seems we need a press resistant player with athletism and skill. The Carnavinga kid is looking real pretty right now.
Exactly, you need athleticism, quick feet, quick mind, ability to read and cover ground quickly, the best in the business, that spring to my mind have been Fern, Makalele and Kante, all had that in abundance.

Pretty sure I remember Pep saying he wanted different characteristics in that position from now on, he needs to hold his hands up here for me and accept in our system, Rodri isn't suitable and he/they made a mistake, maybe try Rodri (bit like Javi Martinez) at CB where he can watch and read the game play out in front of him, and not around him.
