He's slow in thought at the moment


he ignored Rodri on Wednesday night, but you told me it was because he was being rested for Saturday.

Was Rodri slow in thought against Zagreb away and Arsenal away? Or Oxford away is more telling about his quality?

I wrote that he started 5 games in a row over 15 days and I think this was the main reason why he was subbed. Last time when he was used in every game he got injured.

Think he's an excellent signing. He's quite intelligent to be slow in thought. It's just that he is coming from a Simeone team and has to learn completely new patterns of pressing, moving, passing, etc.

He takes less touches when we want to play with a quicker tempo. He takes more touches when we're trying to slow the game down.

Was good on the ball but didnt offer our defence much protection. Too passive when our backs were against the wall and we needed someone snapping into tackles and disrupting their flow

Very good player one thing he doesn’t have that Fernandinho had in that position is turn of pace after winning the ball rodri can’t get away from them so he needs to learn to win and pass it.
