Running thread

I’ve got the Great North Run next week so need a steady longer run now. It’s a shame how it played out, managed to get off in the second zone and was hoping no to push 1:30 but it’s not likely now.

Hope your recovery time pays dividends mate.
Great North is brilliant. Really enjoyed it when I did it.
 
Did my first run for about 10 years today. Used the Couch to 5K app and I'll be honest, the first one was piss easy. But I guess the idea is to build up slowly. It gets you doing 60 seconds of running followed by 90 seconds of brisk walking, plus a 5 minute warm-up and warm down. So you're out of the house for 30 minutes, but only running for 8.
 
Finlay Wild won Ben Nevis again yesterday. That's 9 in a row. The guy is an unbelievable athlete.

Heard about him and watched a documentary about Nevis and he was on it, lives near it and runs it regularly I believe. 9 on the bounce is some achievement.
Walked Yorkshire 3 peaks a few weeks ago, 25 miles in total and read the record holder ran it in 2 hours 30 minutes or so, unbelievable!!
