Hopefully - either that or I didn’t have a big enough dump before the weigh-in ;)
To be honest, I think doing next to nothing in the preceding 3 days wiped out most of the good work of the previous 4. Anyway, been back on it every day since Monday and doing the same routine of 3 stints per day on the treadmill, running the equivalent of around a 10k each day. I’ve sacked off doing one of the preset programs as the one I tried the other day wiped me out before I got half way through so it’s just 3 straightforward running stints. Happy to report I’ve lost a few pounds since Monday morning.
Interesting to read some of the experienced runners on here have days where they just can’t get going. I thought it would only be lazy fuckers like me who would have that issue.
You need to rotate what you’re doing mate for any gains and as for weight loss, slow and steady longer runs are better than short sharp sprints.
You can seriously overdo it and should take rest days even if they don’t want to just to give them time to recover.
I’m dividing days between the bike and running and having a rest day tomorrow before another 5k on Saturday as part of one of my running clubs challenges.
