Great news mateFirst parkrun back in about 12 months, think I dipped just under 23mins, no injury reoccurrence.
It's the first week I've had where every run has been fine, no pain. Might be able to start more specific training to get back to PB shape
1h45 would have been great but I'm marking this one down as a bad run and moving on! Finished in 1:49:39 (5:12/km). Just didn't have the energy and my head went after getting there late and piss wet through. I'd moan about the weather conditions but that didn't stop the winner breaking the world record (57:30!!!).Late entry to the Valencia half this weekend. Two years running, the same lad at work has pulled out and given me his bib. Not trained specifically for that distance but at least I've been a bit more consistent with my running this year. Not paid so no pressure and I'm just going to enjoy it. I'll be delighted with 1h45.
Question how do u feel during the day at work? tired? or full of energy? I tried it, and boy by lunch im yawning. By 3pm im KOD. How many hours of sleep do u get in prior?4 miles before work this morning, lovely morning nice and calm

Sounds like u got your routine perfectly dialled in!I always do my runs and swims in the morning as it's the only time of day I feel I have any energy. I'm definitely a "morning person".
By midday I start yawning, and I always need a "power nap" in the afternoon.
I always aim for 7 to 8 hours sleep, but I don't have to keep any energy back for work as I took early retirement over 3 years ago.
Still a decent enough time mate, but I hear you when you say you could have done better.1h45 would have been great but I'm marking this one down as a bad run and moving on! Need to find some speed from somewhere. I've been running regularly this year but I know deep down that I haven't pushed myself enough. What used to be a steady 4:50 pace has turned into 5:15 and I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. Definitely need to include more threshold runs, hill stuff and track workouts. I'll concentrate on that for the rest of the year.
I run every morning before work, I find that if you can keep active then the body just adapts and you don't get tired, I started a new job 18months ago where I'm not as active as before and it does tire you out, but I find doing something (another run!) at dinner knocks the tiredness out of youQuestion how do u feel during the day at work? tired? or full of energy?
