I've not posted in this thread for ages! Really enjoying my running at the minute.
This month I smashed my half-marathon PB in Manchester (1:38) and then got a free bib to the Yorkshire Marathon a week later, which I did in around 4:15 (I took it easy as I hadn't trained properly).
Through a friend of a friend I've been signed up to do some pacing in December which I'm looking forward to also.
I'm on 1,600km for 2024 and hoping to reach 2k by the end of the year. Lost over a stone.
Anyone who's on the fence about running, get out there - best lifestyle choice I've ever made.
Good to see you're still going mate, I was enjoying your posts last year as I'd got back into it not long before you and was equally trying to break PB's.
Feel the same on the lifestyle stuff, running is the best way of managing my weight, by no means fat 6ft5 and 100kg but got to 88kg for the marathon last year. 9 month injury hasn't helped but already noticing the difference in the last few weeks, 85kg I think would be ideal for running.
Next goal is getting my sub 20min 5k back after losing 3mins through injury.
