We’ve verified footage showing damage to a dam in Russia’s Belgorod region on the border with Ukraine after a Ukrainian strike over the weekend.

In one video which emerged yesterday, water can be seen gushing through a breach in the dam, as well as significant damage to structures on the top of it.

Satellite imagery also indicates flooding downstream, which our experts are examining.

On Saturday, Belgorod’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said on Telegram that the dam had been struck by a Ukrainian drone.

The attack was later confirmed by Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, who wrote on Telegram that a drone strike carried out by his forces caused the water level to drop by around one metre.

Russian economy widely reported to be in desperate state now. Putin, apparently, not fully briefed. Cash is short. India and China reported to be pulling out of Russian oil purchases, though that is somewhat doubtful. Watch this space, next six months could be crucial.

Keep hitting those refineries and disrupt their ability to refine and sell their oil. There must be some very pissed off Russians who can’t drive their cars and also heat their homes with the winter setting in.

I very much hope this is true, but they've been saying that Russia would collapse economically for about 1.5 to 2 years now. Not getting my hopes up.

The targeting of refineries is a good strategy. There are some reports of Russia IMPORTING OIL!

With their money running out as a country if they are buying oil to keep things moving hopefully it takes money away from components of missiles and drones. They have allies in China, Iran, North Korea etc, however when these countries see they won’t be getting their money for assistance with the Russian war machine they won’t be so keen to offer up their help.
 
I was reading yesterday that the Russian assaults are stalling due to the lack of fuel. They have issued the army with tokens/coupons giving them priority over civvies to access fuel. It seems some are being sold/swapped for vodka and in more and more cases troops are finding all their tokens are providing priority access to filling stations that have no fuel in them anyway. Big question will the Army or the economy collapse first

They are apparently importing Petrol from China rather than Oil. But there entire country is designed around local refineries producing petrol for local distribution, they have no network in place to ship petrol from China's borders to the rest of the country.

Might not take them long to adapt to a make a delivery system but right now it seems as though they are selling very cheap oil to china who are refining it and selling it back at inflated prices.

Another thing that This guy points out is that in colder environments you need to have slightly different fuel mixes. and non of the refineries that are still working in Russia seem to be flipping over to making winter fuel, they are too busy trying to supply todays demands. so that could start to knock on to things soon as well.
