Re: The final straw for Nasri

He could have played like Messi for 92 mins for all I care, but that show of pathetic cowardice at the end tells me all I need to know about the man.

Why are people believing this myth that Nasri played badly? He retained possession well, can't remember him giving the ball away, whereas Silva had a run of 4/5 passes which went a stray. Weird defending for the last goal, shouldn't of got to that point though. Clichy shouldn't have gave the ball away, Tevez shouldn't have fouled, or left the wall.

Unlucky boys, punished early on and in the last minute.

Probably because his passes are 5 yards sideways, where as at least Silva is trying to play a ball in which may actually create a chance

This was why I wasn't too excited when we signed him. I don't remember who they were playing but the game arsenal lost that ensured us 3rd , he moved out of the way of a ball traveling 1/3 of the speed of today . Haven't seen a replay of the end but I'm not surprised by this thread .

Re: The final straw for Nasri

Completely disagree with the OP's post. Nasri offers the team a different option and outlet in games when skill and guile are needed compared with someone like Milner, who tends to be direct and on occasion lacking that killer pass. In his arsenal days, Nasri was hugely influential through the middle and I believe we are yet to see his best days in a blue shirt. It's obvious him and silva are on the same wavelength and when they are both on their game, link up play can be some of the best in the league. If we sell nasri it leaves us with one creative player in Silva. In a team where Rodwell and Garcia are the only options for Plan B, it is ludicrous to suggest we sell him, our depth is misunderstood sometimes. That is all for my first post on Bluemoon, go easy on me.

So he could have been a matchwinner but one incident outweighs that?

And who says people don't have considered opinions any more?

Re: The final straw for Nasri

Bit of a mad thread this.

Nasri 100% definitely isn't 'shit'.

However, I do feel there are better options out there who would be an improvement on him.

He's extremely neat and tidy but severely lacks pace and drive and doesn't appear to have the 'bollocks' to get stuck in and really sweat blood (see Zab / Milner) for the shirt.

In his time at City he really hasn't done enough to justify his reputation and price tag imo so I wouldn't be averse to moving him on and replacing him.

For me he falls into the 'very good, but not good enough for where we want to be' bracket.
