If Suarez and Liverpool had manned up, accepted he may have (maybe unintentionally) offended Evra, apologised and stopped trying to blame everyone but himself he probably would have got the three games (plus 5 suspended) the Reading player got.

i agree, but i guess he was too stupid to do that. just admit that you have said something idiotic, and that if it hurt evra, you're sorry about that. i dont think he would have gotten more than a 1 match ban, a hefty fine and maybe doing some volunteer work to help fight racism, and thats the end of that.

You mean violent conduct? And isn't that 3 games? It's odd that violent conduct sounds like such a heinous "crime" yet Thatcher got 8 games for "serious foul play" on Mendes which was more akin to violent assault.

he (suarez) admitted the racist taunts towards evra, result....guilty as charged. how and what are the reasons for an appeal, he has already admitted the charge he has no defence,guilty as charged 8 match ban will stand imo.

I was expecting 6 months to be honest. Racism has no place in this game of ours. If I had done it at work I would be sacked and probably arrested. And rightly so.

That "it's not racist in spanish" stuff is just bollocks. It is, they just get away with it more.
