If we'd brought in Sinclair first, what would have stopped Sunderland holding out for a low price on AJ, knowing we'd be desperate to sell him? We brought in other strikers and left backs, but the queue for Adebayor and Bridge was pretty short
We were not desperate to sell AJ so Sunderland either met our valuation or didn't get him.
