Interesting that the views of experienced and knowledgable voters are dismissed because of their age - whereas the views of 16/17 year olds who have no responsibilities , no experience of life, no idea of the effect of politics on life, no knowledge of earning money or managing family budgets ,no idea about debt , no idea about life beyond school and home , being looked after by parents at every turn without stress , are valued , just because they are young.stony said:ayrshire_blue said:stony said:I suppose the thought never occurred to you that they are older and wiser than yourself and able to see through the jingoistic nonsense that Salmond used throughout his campaign.
You infer they are somewhat selfish in that they won't be around for much longer so they should have let the young people decide.
Well that itself is just a load of selfish bollocks.
Suppose Salmond had won, and everything did go tits up like most serious economists predicted. What happens to those old people then ? Young men like yourself can just uproot and fuck off to England or Europe to start again. Old people don't have that luxury, they would be stuck there. Living out their last days in misery whilst all you fuckers who voted for it disappeared into the sunset.
I don't blame them one bit.
Salmond has divided a nation and I don't mean Britain. He has caused a rift in Scotland that may never heal. I hope history sees him for the power hungry, selfish cretin that he is.
You don't truly believe any of what you've just wrote do you?
Older and wiser eh. Sounds logical...
Of course I believe it, I had the benefit of thinking it through without being emotionally crippled as a result of being taken in by a load of nationalistic nonsense spouted by a self serving liar.
You had a vote, your side lost and it was all above board. You're getting more than your fair share of taxpayers money, you have nothing to whinge about, but I'm sure it won't stop you.
Get over it.
