Season Ticket Pricing as a result of Stadium Expansion

Ouch. Just got the prices start from £1150 letter.

I'm guessing more than double what it cost four years ago. :(

Well said Tom Glick :

The challenge he said was to continue to be "Manchester's club and a community club", as well as to woo new fans and commercial partners internationally.

"We have to be affordable for our fans, and that is why we have invested heavily in all aspects of the matchday experience, from the concourse to the new and unique Chairman's Club, why we are working with new partners such as LG Electronics to upgrade the AV facilites in the ground and the big screens in the stadium.

So to those of us in Level 2 they are saying "stump up, relocate to a cheaper poorer quality seat, or fuck off".
And they know that in the majority of cases someone like me who has been watching for 45 years will take one of the first two choices.
My first preference would be somewhere in CBL3 or EL3 or possibly South L2. The new seats in South L3 might be too far from the pitch, but having said that I usually cope when we go to SJP and those seats are even further away.
There's always T1 of course, but I want standing or sitting, not being up and down like a bride's nightie all match.

That's pretty much it. First option is not going to work for me, not going to pay £400 extra for a bar I don't want and won't use. Option 2 maybe, but 3rd tier is no good for me as it is too far away for my eyes. Option 3 is looking likely.

I'm sure there will be plenty of willing new supporters to take my place.

How do you see what your current seat price is going up to?

People on level two have received letters letting them know about the price rises. This is the bit from mine.

An expanded stadium provides the opportunity to develop exciting new spaces for our supporters on a match day.

This will include the creation of an exclusive Level Two Club behind each goal, accessible to supporters in level two of the East and Colin Bell stands. This will be designed with a sports bar atmosphere where you can relax pre and post-match with food, drink and entertainment.

This will impact the area in which you currently sit, so we wanted to let you know before anyone else.

Improvements will be completed by the start of the 2015/16 season, subject to planning permission. Prices for adults will starts from £1,150 per Seasoncard. Concession rates will be available for under 16s and over 65s.

We will be in touch with more information about these facilities and the options available to you before the end of 2013.

Does anyone realy believe that these cheaper 299 tickets will be taken up by our "hoards" of long lost fans who fell by the wayside when finding it too expensive to watch their club.
No they will be taken up by existing fans from CB2 & ES2 who will be priced out of their seats to be replaced by our very own "club Wembley".
These "club Etihad" seats will be empty for minutes 1 to 10 and 45 to 55 . And also available for any early cup rounds V lower league opposition. Also any group stage euro games that don`t involve a BIG team. And any run of the mill league games.
Where as people like me who only buy 2 pints and a pie are no longer required.Despite those 2 pints and a pie being bought before games like TNS, Shrewsbury,Wimbeldon and every other bleeding game that has involved my CITY over 50 years.
I fully understand the need to increase "corporate" , but realy the FULL 2nd LEVEL.?

£700 plus 2 pints and a pie over EVERY GAME V £1,200 plus champagne and 5 course meal for BIG GAMES.

Whats the view like behind the goal?
