Season Tickets - 2023/24

Imagine paying that price and watching shite for 34 years, most if us did that.

Forget season ticket prices.

How much are match day ticket prices going to be next season, as they will be going up as well..

We're already at £60-£80 for a match day ticket depending on the match and where you sit. It won't be long before City end up selling £100 match day tickets.

Are those prices acceptable for a match day ticket?
Don't forget you also need to buy a membership for each of those tickets too. If someone wanted to bring their child for a couple of games that's another 50 odd quid on top for memberships.

730 mines gone upto in block 220.
That now 40 quid a game.
Always said if it gets to 700 I'll stop going.
One rise to many for me last home game this season will be my last game .

Look at our facilities compared to the state of old Trafford?? The upkeep of our stadium has been immense Ric and it all costs. The club are about to invest £300 million in a new stand. Wages of match day staff will be up, police costs etc. inflation this year is circa 9 percent, the rises are lower than the cost of inflation. I maintain the reaction is over the top and not balanced. I feel for anyone struggling but I don’t feel we are being ripped off at all.
Lower players wages then

Sad times fella. From your "if it gets to' line you've likely been going for many years....if only we had a loyalty bonus!!!

I'm getting towards that stage from being a season ticket holder (rather than card/wallet) since 70/71 but got another season or so in me.

Shame FOC status isn't until 65, 60 would help a lot of us too. Don't think I'll be able to hang on another 5 years myself.

quality of football doesn't matter, or shouldn't. they aren't going to reduce the prices if we suddenly turn to shit so we shouldn't have to pay more just because we're brilliant.

We're a manchester based side, the cost of living is lower here than London as are wages so you cant make fair direct comparisons with teams like spurs.

You might not think they're too bad now but how many consecutive years of price hikes is that now? How many more before they do become an issue because there's no indication this won't continue year on year as it has every year since Soriano has been here.

It's the complete out of touch approach more than anything thats bothering people. These figures are probably on the upper side of estimates here but for arguments sake let's say every season ticket has gone up £30 on average and we have about 36k season ticket holders which means a price freeze this season would have resulted in about £1 million lost revenue, it barely even registers on the balance sheet and the fans would lap up the gesture. Instead, they do this. it pisses off the majority of the fanbase, Shows a complete disconnect from us and let's us all know beyond any doubt they couldn't give a shit about the fans. Is all that really worth the extra million in the bank? They'll probably spend that employing some PR firm to come up with a new version of the "footballs nothing without the fans" slogan for next season and some compilation video of the same passionate fans they're driving out.
Brilliant post

I am disappointed but not surprised and neither should any of you. Unfortunately this is what comes with success and was always the plan of our owners. The investment will always come at a price and they want to see a return on that investment. (Please don’t reply with the many ways they make other gains through sponsorship etc. I know the game)

We are at a point now where I think the owners thought we would be 2 years ago. We are undoubtedly the best team in England and in the verge of conquering Europe. Once that happens if not this year then eventually then our owners will only double down and make us the most marketable/profitable/must see entertainment on the planet. That doesn’t come free unfortunately and gone are the days of City being a family club or community entity.

A lot of bile and racism in the media but let’s not think that our owners are any different to any one else. It’s all about MONEY

Mines gone up from £725 to £795 which I think is still value for money if I was buying it today but it increases year upon year now and I know there will be a few around me who can’t afford this jump , there should be a cap in place where clubs can only increase a maximum percentage or so many times a decade

It’s a pound a week!!
It's not a pound a week for a season card
If you have a £600 season card which you pay for in installments, that's 10 months of £60
Not forgetting the SC holder has to travel to the game, so there's costs there and when you purchase a card you don't know when the games are going to be played

Aren't we supposed to be different to other clubs? Aren't we supposed to want all our fans together and singing loud and proud? The other major impact, that the media and authorities failed to do, is that this seasoncard news has divided opinion. City, Typical City in fact, are doing what externL factors couldn't do.

The game by game cost has risen dramatically in the last 20 years. I'd love to see it as a graph. I also reckon many other aspects of revenue will have similar growths. Costs too. There has to be another way than City marginalising the remainder of Mancunian fans. The tipping point for price rises should have been ages ago. Gold, platinum and Superbia memberships were a clue.

Where are the fans forums? The German farmers league is much more fan engaged. The Premier League and its clubs have created a product that always sells, and attracts tourism. That's great, but where's the balance?

Well, perhaps Wembley will be affordable.

When other clubs take the piss you read various statements put out by fans. Dippers even reversed a price hike the other year due to their protests. What we have here is deafening silence. Supposedly City Matters put a case forward, was this at a meeting? Where are the minutes? Not only have the club got this badly wrong, the timing of it is shocking. 6PM on a Friday before a bank holiday is a classic tactic by an organisation not wanting to listen. It’s avery deliberate ploy and shameful. The OSC, City Matter, 1894 etc must put out a joint statement this weekend and try to force the club to reconsider.
