Just had to email them as it says they refunded me for the Wolves game on 7th Jan but so far no money in from them.

Sold Leeds, wolves and Leicester from Dec and looks like the monies just came in at 12 there… and early! :)

Been paid for Leicester and Chelsea already. First time used it and needed two on the spin!!

Well done City.

Gone from 60 days to 5 days and now the exchange has disappeared off the site.

It has its uses with Covid twice already this season and multiple STs, but there are big flaws still needing to be sorted.

Ticket Exchange Trial For Our Premier League Fixture Against Liverpool

We are pleased to announce that we will be adapting the Ticket Exchange on a trial basis for the Men’s First Team Premier League match at home to Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday 10th April, kick-off 4.30pm

Fans who list their ticket on the Ticket Exchange for this match will automatically receive payment from the Club for their ticket. This means you will not need to wait for another fan to purchase your ticket before your refund is confirmed.

If you are unable to come to the Liverpool match, selling your ticket on the Ticket Exchange gives one of your fellow City fans the chance to attend in your place and ensures that we will have a stadium in full voice to support the team as we look to secure another important three points.

Season Ticket holders who list their ticket on the Ticket Exchange will be refunded one 19th of their overall season ticket price in exchange for their seat (the equivalent of one home Premier League match). Ticket Exchange refunds are paid within 45-days of the match taking place.

Please note, this trial will only be in place for the upcoming Men’s First Team Premier League match at home to Liverpool.

Basically as it’s a title decider sell us your tickets back quick, we’ll instantly buy so we can then flog to “neutral day trippers” at 5x the cost we pay you for it.

yeah that’s what I thought. It’s an incentive to give us money (£30-40avg) instantly so we sell our ticket back and they sell for 2-3 times that to tourists.

The holding of the money for 45 days is a disgrace in the first place.

As others said they won’t be offering a refund for Brighton on

Nail on the head. I bet they wouldn't do it for a midweek match against Watford!
We've been working with the club for a while on processes to ensure tickets are made available and can be resold. I'll come onto that in a minute.

The above is an understandable but cynical view some take but the simple fact is that not enough people make unused tickets available for resale. That's a large part of the reason why we often have empty seats.

The process for recycling mobile tickets isn't good enough and needs to be made slicker and simpler but Ticket Exchange is straightforward to use. What we need to do is to get people to use it though. We believe that if you use it once, you'll be more likely to use it again.

We've just been discussing this on WhatsApp and, personally, I'd have done it for a different game. Maybe not midweek v Watford but another game that's more likely to see non-attendance than Liverpool (although it's Easter holidays later that week so quite a few may be away). There would prob be a bit of a financial hit to the club but the more who take advantage the better, as we need to build the habit.

As to longer-term solutions we've floated various solutions, including adjusting the price paid for tickets put on the exchange that more closely reflect the cost of matchday tickets, giving people part of the cash (or points) just for listing or even allowing a limited 'boost' so you could choose to get closer to full price a few times. These discussions are ongoing and nothing has been resolved but, to be honest, we don't believe the 1/19th refund really is a significant factor. But that doesn't mean we can't look at it.

With Easter holidays there will be a few away on holiday and missing the game, hopefully this is a step in right direction from the club but it does seem opportunistic to say the least.

If we was playing Watford or Newcastle that weekend, would they have done the same thing ?????

Makes no difference as they sell instantly anyway. 2 just been put on sale, I reckon 5 mins tops.

Edit sold along with another added and sold.
