Seat Counters - 2024/25

Fulham was amazing (helps with the low roof) but will have had it’s fair share of tourists just like the other London games - that day was us being up for it to drive the boys towards the line!
Was also an early kick off, not often you get an atmosphere like that for an early kick off

How many unsold ?
Not many have shifted on the official ticket site since a Bluemooner said there were over 1,300 left. More than that, the reputation of the official Ticket Exchange has taken a hammering. In contrast, cheaper tickets have shifted like hot cakes on the Face Value pages. “Danny Wilson, your boys (and girls) have taken one hell of a beating”.

Thanks again to I’m Not Really Here, who gave a ticket to my Mum’s former carer.

I agree with principle of what you promote, but do you not think the focus of the new ticketing compliance officer will soon turn to this? From their perspective it’s depriving the club of a lucrative revenue stream, and a much easier target than the clubs undercover touting schemes?

You could well be right shnaghaicityfish but then any remaining doubt that the Club are exploiting fans would vanish. I’ve been in sales management type roles and can see both sides of this but City by not making say all remaining South Stand L3 ticket available for £30 adult / £15 juniors just look greedy.

We know that seat prices can be increased to £100s of pounds with a meal thrown in so there’s definitely scope to reduce prices too. In fact the Face Value pages do this job for City by selling cheaper tickets and indirectly helping the Club to sell (a reduced number of remaining tickets) at standard prices and above.

City had to back down on earlier efforts to close down these pages btw.

Interesting I didn’t know that. Hopefully it continues to be an option. Me and family have 4 SCs together in EL1. We all attend 98% of games (I started in 1970) so hopefully are not labelled as “SC hoarders”. On the odd occasion one of us is ill or on holiday I list on the exchange and always get back my £50.20, which I consider fair. I do this because a) I am very risk averse when it comes to sanctions for reselling and b) I find it quite interesting to chat to whoever bought the ticket, and how much they paid for it (usually £100s). Am I part of the problem? Merry Christmas!

Each to their own mate. If people use the Ticket Exchange that’s their choice. I’m not that keen on it but that’s just an opinion. When asked about season card “hoarders”, I said people who attend half or fewer of the games. They artificially inflate ticket prices and make it more difficult for families to get seats together.

I think City should be doing more to recognise people who turn up week in week out, year in year out. I’ve made that point many times on here.

Why dif City have to back down on earlier efforts to close down ticket pages
You would need to contact the Club for their explanation mate. I just know they backed down.

I understand City (it might be the Compliance Manager) who is applying pressure to an account on X that offers a similar service.
