Seat Counters - 2024/25

Fulham was amazing (helps with the low roof) but will have had it’s fair share of tourists just like the other London games - that day was us being up for it to drive the boys towards the line!
Was also an early kick off, not often you get an atmosphere like that for an early kick off

How many unsold ?
Not many have shifted on the official ticket site since a Bluemooner said there were over 1,300 left. More than that, the reputation of the official Ticket Exchange has taken a hammering. In contrast, cheaper tickets have shifted like hot cakes on the Face Value pages. “Danny Wilson, your boys (and girls) have taken one hell of a beating”.

Thanks again to I’m Not Really Here, who gave a ticket to my Mum’s former carer.

I agree with principle of what you promote, but do you not think the focus of the new ticketing compliance officer will soon turn to this? From their perspective it’s depriving the club of a lucrative revenue stream, and a much easier target than the clubs undercover touting schemes?

You could well be right shnaghaicityfish but then any remaining doubt that the Club are exploiting fans would vanish. I’ve been in sales management type roles and can see both sides of this but City by not making say all remaining South Stand L3 ticket available for £30 adult / £15 juniors just look greedy.

We know that seat prices can be increased to £100s of pounds with a meal thrown in so there’s definitely scope to reduce prices too. In fact the Face Value pages do this job for City by selling cheaper tickets and indirectly helping the Club to sell (a reduced number of remaining tickets) at standard prices and above.

City had to back down on earlier efforts to close down these pages btw.

Interesting I didn’t know that. Hopefully it continues to be an option. Me and family have 4 SCs together in EL1. We all attend 98% of games (I started in 1970) so hopefully are not labelled as “SC hoarders”. On the odd occasion one of us is ill or on holiday I list on the exchange and always get back my £50.20, which I consider fair. I do this because a) I am very risk averse when it comes to sanctions for reselling and b) I find it quite interesting to chat to whoever bought the ticket, and how much they paid for it (usually £100s). Am I part of the problem? Merry Christmas!

Each to their own mate. If people use the Ticket Exchange that’s their choice. I’m not that keen on it but that’s just an opinion. When asked about season card “hoarders”, I said people who attend half or fewer of the games. They artificially inflate ticket prices and make it more difficult for families to get seats together.

I think City should be doing more to recognise people who turn up week in week out, year in year out. I’ve made that point many times on here.

Why dif City have to back down on earlier efforts to close down ticket pages
You would need to contact the Club for their explanation mate. I just know they backed down.

I understand City (it might be the Compliance Manager) who is applying pressure to an account on X that offers a similar service.

You are definitely not part of the the problem .The football club is
£240 for a family of 4 on boxing day and not even sat together .It's a joke and shows the club don't give a shit about the fans
6 of us will be having a drink, mulled wine and mince pies in the house and save our money for the Salford in the cup game ..Fans will get season tickets and only
go to a few games as it difficult and far to expensive to go to certain games

With the new north stand coming in next season there needs to be a serious rethink on ticket prices and memberships because otherwise there are going to be a lot of unsold tickets.
It's really simple in my opinion 8000 new season tickets available with fans able to choose normal or flexi with the guarantee that they can move between the two in the future. We've diluted demand by restricting season sales when we should have been doing the opposite.

True, but the club are getting it in the neck over the official prices and they might not want more grief over stopping fans selling tickets for what they originally paid for them.

If you've had a season ticket since the 70s and attend 98% of games then you are a "legacy fan" and are certainly part of the problem!! And so am I.
Whether we will continue to be seen as a problem if our current run of form continues, or when they have a lot more seats to sell, is another matter entirely.

I'm a legacy fan and I couldn't give a shit about our current malaise. I'm intrigued by it, to be honest, but as a season card holder for decades I, like many on here, are concerned the club doesn't give a stuff about us.

We are a long way from the dark ages when the club were, frankly, surprised by our loyalty when we turned up in our droves to watch shit football. 'Supporting our supporters' is a long lost mantra from the likes of David Bernstein who appreciated our support, and is in stark contrast to the current grubby money grabbers now running the show.

You are asking a big business to look after their regular customers who spend (on the whole) not a lot of money in the club shop each season, over once / twice a season / once in a lifetime fans who will spend a shed load in the shop (or online) every season.
Regular fans simply “turning up” isn’t necessarily a good thing for the club.

(By the way I agree with you)

Genuineley think people are being way to sensitive about 'what the club think of me'.

I will reiterate, season card prices are fair. Individual matchday prices are where lies the problem.

What bothers me is this. I know people who are newish season card holders who only attend the 5 to 6 big games at home per season as its cheaper to buy a season ticket than buy individual tickets for those particular games Now this needs to be stamped out.
My season ticket was 415 notes this year.
If I get charged circa 60 to 80 (poss more) pounds for the top 6 games, then its cheaper to buy a season card and let the 13 to 14 other games go by relisting on exchange.
Tickets should be 45 tops
