Well after reading what Tolmie has to say on other threads ,
I think we will sign him ...
Tolm said we will definitely sign a GK and a CD (becomes more certain after Boateng and Shay Given are being sold/sold already )

So why not have a good cover in a 20year old talented Defender ... A big lad he is .. 6ft 6 .. sounds good !
 
Hi guys; I'm a fan of Nacional. I just wanted to let you know that here in Uruguay the only source about a possible transfer of Seba Coates to Manchester City comes from 'The Guardian'. These news have been replicated by thousands of internet portals, but without any confirmation or denial by Nacional, and without any new info from any other source.

According to Nacional's general manager it's very likely that Seba Coates (one Scottish ancestor three or four generations ago) will be transferred. But there is no public information about where or for how much. The main destination seemed to be Sao Paulo, but news nowadays say that they couldn't come up with the money (10 million us$). Any other negotiations have been kept confidential, and we don't even know whether Nacional and Man City are embarked in one.

Obvious that the amount of 22M pounds is a gross overestimation. You could get him for far less than that, but we're all convinced that after playing a couple of years in Europe he will be worth that much. If the rumour about a Coates transfer to Man City starts to grow, some other day I share my impressions of him as a player. Good luck.

Nice one...i think "the guardian" is a pretty reliable source in england. And Coates is a young and very talented and tall defender. I think every team would like a player like him.

And it sounds good. I have a feeling that City are negotiating with Nacionale because Guardian said that City have made an approach. And that could be true.
