i know this isn't popular, but TAA does give us something different - there's not many players that have the range of passing he does, he can create and score and set pieces are a major factor in tournaments. I would stick with him in the centre midfield role where we lack options.
Pretty much any professional player has the range of passing of Alexander-Arnold, what he has that most don't is a world class pr team behind him.

He is in danger of being Pogba 2.0

Very talented but wants to be the star player all the time. Doesn't just do the simple pass.

in the 2nd half he was never in the 10 spot as he was running round in everyone else's position.
Love him or hate, he's been consistent in producing goods and tonight he was the only bright point beside Rice and our CB pairing, which was very solid and were clearing everything coming their way.
Foden on the other side, pfffffff..... Unfortunately for him, his City form and performances ,which have ben getting better and better, are just unmasking how awful his England progression has been so far.

He's been consistent in disappearing in huge games - we'll see what bellingham is made of in the quarterfin...just joking, we'll get beat in the last 16.

I know Southgate doesn't utilise him right but he was still largely anonymous tonight, as were most of the other players it has to be said. We've just got the wrong person in charge to get the best out of this lot
The problem England have got is that there's nothing linking midfield to attack as we've got Rice and Alexander-Arnold sitting just in front of the defence and Bellingham who, while a talented player, has got absolutely no tactical discipline so he's never where he should be when he's needed as he's trying to be the hero all the time.
He's also a right diving shit bag and I can't believe none of the pundits called out his shitbaggery, particularly trying to cheat his way to a penalty.

Even Pogba had rare bright spots whilst at the Rags. His first spell at Juventus is similar to what Bellingham is currently producing both club and internationally. Pogba is better on the ball although Bellingham is a decent finisher.

He finished off a good move from Saka, then proceeding to run around in everyone else position until he was taken off.

Foden was shoehorned out on the left with no overlapping player so the only thing he can do is pass back.

Foden was also just voted the league's best player.

It's Southgate that the fingers should be pointing at. How can be make the leagues best player so ineffective?
