Should the club stay silent or fightback?

The first thing to do is to take a leaf from the "Bullies Book of Media Management", Slur Alex has gathered a small cabal of "reporters" around him and banned the rest.
If the Torygraph have asked for police action they should be first out of the door.

Never mind being sent off for the challenge which led to Mario scoring the penalty, I am pretty sure that Ledley King was not even booked.

Why was that?

-- Mon Jan 23, 2012 11:44 pm --

If that ugly fat munchkin went in like that on me i'd kick his face of.

All 4 for me tbf....lol.

The Stoke one - you could see that the defender wanted to kill Rooney but didn't want to get sent off ;o)

This is all nonsense. We are being treated unfairly just like every club in the league. The FA is wildly inconsistent, and their policies (e.g. "Did the ref see it?") are nonsense, but it's true for every team.

If anything we should be celebrating getting the Rag treatment from Webb on Sunday.

Do nothing. Stop bleating and get on with it. Siege mentality has never done the rags any harm.

Mario for all his talent doesn't help himself and to be honest I think appealing would just extend the ban so what's the point. I am not sure I would want him playing against LIverpool or everton so let's just take it on the chin and move on.

Lescott could have been banned too so let's just be thankful he wasn't, welcome KOmpany back and win the league!

If you seriously believe football is that corrupt why bother going?

My apologies, I did mean to put he has been charged.
Well you f**kin didn't so my comment stands.

Why are you so angry? The difference between being charged and being found guilty in this kind of case where clear video evidence has been provided is pretty slim in my opinion. Calm down and take a look at the table.
LOL, angry ? no not at all.

Post on here by all means, but respect its our forum, this thread has f**k all to do with Spurs, its about whether our club should fightback at several percieved wrongs, including the defamation of our player by that knob of a manager you have (which I note you haven't commented on). If you want to comment about Mario's incident, stick to the 2 topics dedicated to the incident.

because he plays for the best footballing team in the premiership and the media darlings ?, just watched a recording of the match and chris coleman was commentating , he was tossing himself off about ledley king , but he went quiet when the stupid fucker cost them the game with a tackle that belonged on hackney marshes.

lol fuck off you chas n dave ****. That penalty was the most nailed on you'll ever see. It was a scissor tackle by King, he deliberately brought his right leg around to wrap up Mario.

I think you've missed the point of my post there..
If you want to argue that Spurs were hard done by by Balotelli winning a pen and scoring it when Webb is now claiming he didn't see the incident, then I can claim that Parker shouldn't have even been on the pitch at the time.

You were beat fair and square. Take it

Fair and square is difficult as the goalposts have been moved around a hell of a lot in light of recent events. Because of a few incidents referees now have immense pressure on them. I have read a few comments here about Parker's "two footed challenge" on Micah but I can't really debate with those who think that was a red card, there isn't enough time in the world...If your talking about other fouls commited do you have any stats about how fouls he did commit? Maybe I had lilywhite tinted glasses on but at the time of viewing I don't remember him commiting too many...

This analagy will probably be terrible but let's say you face Utd in Champs league final next season. With the game level, Rooney has a moment of petulance and stamps out catching Richards in the head. incident missed by officials and happened too quickly for any City players to get a full view of it therefore a general lack of protests. Richards okay to carry on. Game continues Rooney scores winning penalty. Rooney gets charged and eventually found guilty of violent conduct.

Will you say you were beaten fair and square?

'Stamp out Inconsistencies in Retrospective Bans or FA Officiating'

No - how about

Campaign Against Selective Taking of Retrospective Action To Extremes by the FA

(Or C.A.S.T.R.A.T.E. the FA for short)

Of course your right here. I think it's just that last one you can see in the frame before you play it; the downright recklessness and malice he employed in the challenge.
