Should we be looking at new kit deal?- new update pg34 Chelsea NIKE DEAL

Don't you think you have been slightly lowballed by Nike, yes they are giving you 60 million a year now,but for the duration that the time you're on that deal within 8-10 years the likes of United Barca and Real's kit deals run out and they will be getting even more than they are getting now due to inflation and other clubs will see a massive hike in their deals due to market price from those clubs massive deals, and you will be stuck on 60 million a year for another 7-8 years.

Liverpool who have hardly won anything the last 10 years have nearly 18 months left on a 50 million a year deal with new Balance compared to what you have won the last 10 years you get a 10 million better deal in 2017 that runs for 15 years.I just don't think the deal is that impressive for such a long deal and the yearly figure, also Bayern have a 15 million a year deal and with them being German and Adidas being a massive share holder and on the board of Bayern they will renegotiate that deal to put Bayern amongst the best paid.

It was reported on a few LFC affiliated sites that Billy Hogan liverpool's commercial director was already negotiating a new kit deal last season,i don't think it will be Nike as they have signed this deal with you but i think it will be with New Balance or i could see Under Armour who challenging Nike's dominance in the USA and are making a big push into Football and would want one of the biggest clubs in the world on their football portfolio.

Nike have played a blinder here imho if you look at the bigger picture of this new deal.
If you look at it this way, then yes, but you have to remember, that these kinds of deal usually are never ran out, if we feel that we are being low balled, we will negotiate a better deal or just terminate the contract ( just like we did with Adidas btw, we still had 6 years of contract), plus Liverpool dont have a 50M kit, they have a 25M a year deal, worth 300M in total, while our deal is worth 900M

Can we swap with Chelsea and get adidas in?
Also, im assuming United signed a long term deal with Adidas aswell, in which case, the scenarios you described could still be applied to them or anyone who recently signed a new kit deal.
Interestingly though, if im not mistaken, if United dont qualify for the CL this season, their kit deal will go from 75M a year, to 52M a year

Wouldn't mind this one:

City should definitely be looking at the amount we receive off Nike. Giving what Chelsea have just been handed on the back of the current profile of that team makes our deal look pathetic

Those 2009/10 kits from Umbro were perfect. Nike haven't produced one away kit actually relevant to our away colours in the 4 years.
The home and 3rd shirts were the last City shirts I bought and the home one still doesn't have a snag in it despite plenty of matchday wear. The Nike kits have been crap design and judging by others comments, crap material.

If the club wants to sell more shirts, it will have to come upon a better designs then the1that we have now for the 1st strip, to my mind it is awful and I don't think much of the 2nd or 3rd kit as well. The club needs to get back to plain shirts for all 3 kits. My favourite for the 2nd kit would be a black and red stripes with black shorts, and for the 3rd kit either a black or a dark maroon coloured shirt with matching shorts.

questions need to be asked, do you own a city shirt, when was the last time you bought one and how old are you. all relevant i`d suggest.

I suspect City are already acutely aware of that.

we aren't run by idiots I'm sure everything connected to the kit suits us as well, as and when it changes we wont be ripped off.i actually think the home kit is the nicest we have had for a long time, same as the away kit, both modern and sleek in design, the 3rd kit is definitely not my cup of tea though cant comment on the fan quality as I don't buy kits.
