its football, nothing more.all you've done recently is come the wounded fucking soldier, its suppose to be a friendly place where blues can enjoy banter, yes posters disagree but ffs lighten up.

there's more to life than manchester city, not much but there is.

Hughes did wonders considering the state we were in?

He took a good team that finished 9th and with a blank cheque book got them to....

10th!

ive not read this whole thread as
a) i cant be arsed
b) the first page was bad enough

anyone who sings for hughes on sunday is a fucking moron

clap him if you wish before the game, singing for him during the game is unforgivable.

the reason we've been shite for 34 years is becoming more and more apparent. we are supported by idiots

sort your heads out

^ This all day long.

I can see why people would miss the attacking side of our game we played with Hughes but I also remember that drying up and getting dull draws. I also remember shipping goals at the other end for fun too. People seem to have selective memories with Hughes but the fact is he really didn't advance us as a club in any way and spent a shit load on shit players which we're stuck with now.

Why should we clap him he manages an opposing team of draw specialists ,ring any bells .we should be supporting our manager like we were a few weeks ago before a couple of bad games.

Agree with that. Some of the stuff you read on this message board is just unbelievable at times. Some of it has got to be wind up. The City fans I meet and talk football with are sound, but you wouldn't think so from reading this thread.

He had a blank cheque for one day in the summer and also the January window where big signings generally don't happen. Injuries to Petrov and Johnson led to us losing a big part of the previous season and falling out with Elano and Jo only made it worse and led to the likes of Ched Evans and past it Vassell to get starts. Bellamy, Bridge (improving on Michael Ball), De Jong, and Given were great signings and led us to finish 3 points off a European spot, make the UEFA Cup quarterfinals (unlucky not to get further), and set the foundation for getting the likes of Tevez and Ade in during the summer. Really I don't think we could have expected much more out of that season especially since we were shit after Christmas the previous year and weren't as good as our league position suggested.

Don't know about singing for him but we should be begging him to come back.

What, and take the rest of the shite he signed with him?
