So what's to be done?

Forget fighting till the end. We’re not even fighting in the middle.

In the short term we just need to win our home games and pray for a miracle in Barcelona. The teams behind us have all got to play Chelsea (and each other) so assuming that we don’t implode then 2nd place should be a formality.

Long term,it’s more a case of adopting a strategy and buying players to fit that strategy. If we want to get the best out of Silva then let’s get some energy behind him in midfield. If we want to really play the Barca way then we need footballing defenders.

At the moment we look like a team full of smug complacency

Full of smug complacency? Yep, still plenty of that on here, especially when questions on the future of the current management team are asked

Start with dropping the manager. Enough said on the MP and post-match thread. Get a manager whose tactics aren't apparent to everyone and their dog a week before kick-off.

Just putting it out there.........

Why don't we all club together and hire a plane to fly over the Etihad? We could make a banner that says...
'Fuck off Audrey. Bring back Ailsa'

Who's in?

How about 'Bring back Beanie' ?

Short-term: Give Vieira a go and blood some youngsters, at least they'll show some fight.

Mid-term: Have an excellent summer with Pogba as the number one target.

Long-term: Decide on our tactical identity as a club and start buying/developing players to suit that identity, along with a manager to enforce it.
