Really fancy us tomorrow, (due to the fact they have some horrible injuries affecting them, if not i'd have said a draw)

Pantilimon
Zaba
Kompany
Lescott
Clichy
Yaya
Fernandinho
Nasri
Navas
Aguero
Negredo

2-0 city.

What have Micah and Milner done recently to earn a spot in the 11?
I put them in my XI as a prediction of what Pelle will do.
He seems to want to rotate the FB's and Milner is an important squad member so will get some starts normally at Navas' expense.

Richards? Not a chance he should play in an away game instead of Zab. An accident waiting to happen at the moment. We need to cut out the silly mistakes which have cost us so dearly recently and take some momentum into the Arsenal game. Agree with Jimmy though as Navas doesn't offer enough away from home for me. Great when we are on the front foot at home but not away.

I hope the fans and players can put a show on for Mandela. Hoping there's a belting chorus of "Nelson Mandela is a blue, is a blue, is a blue"

And this has exactly what to do with the game?

Shall we sing for Gerry Adams against Arsenal?

Hoping we can keep the ball this season, we weren't hungry enough last year in this fixture.

Pass it well first 20 mins and we will win, if we panic, we'll drop points.

full strength team. i have the utmost confidence. only a matter of time until our away scorelines start looking like our home scorelines. i say it starts tomorrow.

i see no reason not to be confident frankly.

As good as City are we've been stung away a few times this season. I think we have to be less cocky and less gung ho at away games and put an extra man in midfield, contain that area, play with one striker up front and negate the oppositon's counter attacking's attempts. A midfield grinder next to the excellent over stretched Fernandinho and Toure should be City's mandate for games away from home in future in my opinion.

Perhaps against Arsenil we should sing for Ian Paisley instead :-)

Going to be a high pressing game from the saints. We haven't coped well with that so far. Plus they will raise their game after their villa loss. Rodriguez and lambert will be a handful. Hopefully a close fought win but a draw wouldn't be terrible.

It's obvious what there instructions will be. Go out and press us on the ball high up the pitch a la Bayern. Fortunately they are not Bayern and given their injury woes, the real challenge for us is what will be going on between the ears of our players. If we get that part of it right, then we will be too good for them.

Spot on!

Can't believe 1 team can get so many injuries :( if it was the rags playing Southampton today we'd be like u lucky f*****s. My mind has gone from 50/50 to City 70/30 we can win this and that will really put pressure on Arsenal ahead of next week.

-- December 7th, 2013, 7:22 am --

Agreed it's about time we kept a steady back 4 only change for injuries. We sort back 4 out and this league will be as easy as Scottish Prem is for Celtic :)

Today at the saints we should sing for admiral nelson or uncle Albert, both fine sailors.

Tricky one today with the saints wobbling a bit,but with a few key injuries and hopefully Sergio and the beast back together I think we will edge it 2 nil

If we perform to the level we expect and we know we can we will win , simple as.

Us at our best is too much for Southampton at their best even on their patch.

It won't be easy , no game is but as mentioned by others we will determine the outcome of the game.

Go in with the wrong attitude and we know what can and is likely to happen.

I think Southampton are a decent side but unless they bring in some real quality in January even with their best eleven they are a 9-12 team.

Today they have 3 or 4 of their starting lineup unavailable we have one maybe two.

No excuse for anything but three points.

thought long and hard about navas instead of milner but being an away game feel milner would be more beneficial in a 3 allowing yaya to push on.

Thanks for sharing that with us not many managers would do that ;-)
