Spurs (A) | EFL Cup | Post Match Thread

Agree with me or fuck off? Or what? What are you going to do if if I don’t? Flounce and stamp your lickle ballet-shoed foot? :-)

You are vini jr and I claim my casey made of solid gold.

I’m not happy we lost especially to them twats but come on, it’s hardly end of the universe, fall out with fellow Blues stuff.
Well said.

Hope spurs get arsenal and Liverpool get rags now so they have to go strong in a week we get a much needed break.

Some of the kids look outstanding, especially O’Reilly.
He looked particularly confident. Very good game last night

Don't understand why we risked any senior first-team players last night. Should have gone with a youth team captained by Rico.

Anyone else still standing from the team after yesterday?

Liked the look of the academy lads I’ve watched. O’Reilly looked much better than his previous outings but Wright much more at home in his natural position. Pusey looked assured.

Shit to lose to them but at this point, wtf can one do especially if it’s at the expense of the players? One has to hope no one else gets injured between now and the weekend.

I disagree. He's not a fullback with blistering pace - so maybe don't play the kid at full back and have a line that's 60 fucking yards up the pitch. He's defensively capable, despite what many think here...i'm happy to be in the minority.
I’m with you. His failure to stop those last two goals is down to where he is being asked to play. Not down to his lack of defensive skill. For his contributions in midfield and his defensive soundness I pick him ahead of Kyle.

I secretly enjoyed that game (obviously not the injuries), it was end to end and free from a lot of constraint you might see in a league game. A lot better than Soton at home, for example.

the first half we took 30 mins to get going, Savinho and Nunes playing very well, then i thought the 2nd half a few players really grew. O'Reilly looked nervous but in the 2nd half i thought he was really good, Jacob Wright immediately impressed with his drive and energy, and McAtee was quite solid.

The downside were either some players looking disinterested to the point of distracted (Gundogan and Foden) and the ease at which some got injured.

Felt we were pretty poor for the first 20-30 mins or so, misplacing passes and can't seem to match Spurs for their energy. We got better as the game went, but losing Savinho hurt a dimension in our attack.

Not too bothered with an exit. Glad the kids got some valuable game time and experience. O'Reilly looked better in the 2nd half. The kids that came on looked decent. Personally wasn't convinced by McAtee, just seems off it, maybe it's fitness because he looked gassed around the 60 mins mark.

Nunes was excellent.

Watched it in the pub with a few blues and non of us were arsed about which sums up the league cup these days, thought it was quite an open game tbh and we did have chances to win it, if we had a striker! Fucking injuries will ruin our season at this rate, fair play to all those blues making the journey down.
