Spurs (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Lol things are actually much worse than they seem. We’re 2nd and the media still thinks there’s a title race, yet the reality is there’s no race and we have a broken dressing room with players that the manager is refusing to play, for reasons which can only be bad. The season is a write off.
Not sure I agree, but appreciate many feel this way.

letting Jesus, Zinchenko, Sterling go to rivals, then signing up a sub from Dortmund, Guardiola's brothers agency had this Gomez guy so we can pay some money to Pere brother as agent fee and a fat, injury prone Phillips who cannot even take some pressure off from Rodri, even the 45 year old Dinho could do it last season but not Phillips. if we didnt get Haaland this would have been a worse window than Sinclair, Maicon, Nastasic back after we wont our first PL title.

Arteta wins this title with half as strong squad than ours when last time they qualified for CL at all was like 2016 or 2017?
well then Txiki alongside Pep will have some big questions to answer.

We’re not good enough to win the league this season Could change but we’re seeing the same every game. It’s been a long time since we put together a run of 3 good performances in a row. Win next 5 league matches and it can all change but that’s going to take some big changes in attitude all around

Both teams were awful and deserved nowt from the game, but again a error has cost us.

need to start utilising the forwards, not one central midfielder this year (bar Rodri) can be proud of their season

may as well give Phillips a chance as Kev, berny and gundo don't deserve one after the last few weeks
starting to feel like pelligrinis last season when the whole team gave up after christmas apart from fernandinho

There’s a lot wrong with us at the minute. In previous years, we’re normally playing our best football and on a long winning run at this part of the season. We can’t even get a 2-3 game winning run going now. Stinker by Rodri today (who is usually one of our best). We’re not creating any chances which is the most concerning. In previous years, we’d complain about not converting our chances. This is a massive issue that needs sorting immediately. We just need to capitalise on dropped points by Arsenal. The only positive is that Arsenal haven’t extended their lead this weekend (hard to even see that as a positive after this result). We just can’t afford to keep doing this!

I know a lot of questions have been asked about Haaland and whether he’s made us worse. But IMO, Haaland is the difference between us being in the top 4 and being in a race for 10th with Liverpool.

Both sides standards having massively regressed and it’s understandable based on the pst 5 seasons to an extent.

What’s not understandable is the cowardly nature of Pep and this side. Football is about taking risks and this side doesn’t do it at all. It’s safety at-all-costs, pass it backwards, turgid shite and has been for a while bar the odd decent 45 minutes. Combine the lack of risk taking with our defensive mistakes and it’s a recipe for failure.

At the end of the day, the board settled for us winning nothing this season by the January transfer window. I don’t know whether this has given Pep a get out of jail free pass but he needs to up his game too.

The only message he’s sent his players after this is that he’s fucked up in a big game once again.
