Spurs Vs City Post Match Thread

worse thing was ... 3-1 down .... Pellegrini was sat on his seat, head down. No point of getting up to the touchline and managing his team obviously. 4-1 ... takes off Aguero and tells the coach driver to start the engine.

if our focus is the champs league above the pre league then that is a mistake (and i don't care who directs that focus even if it is HRH)

The focus should always be the prem league above all else...

Demichellis could have easily been sent off for us and our goal was borderline too. We lost because our desire was lacking and we made stupid errors.

But it's easier to bury our heads in the sand and pretend the official's cost us.

Thing is we played ok until we went up 1-0, as soon as Sterling had a shot afterwards we went to rat shit.

Toure, Aguero, De Bruyne, Sterling, Otamendi, Demichelis just got paid about a million quid between them for today's work. Pish.

Can't believe we're not top of the table after starting so well, crazy how things have changed since the juventus game. Starting to look like a really bad move letting Dzeko and Jovetic go with Sergio being out of form.

You mean the same Demichellis who was booked for pointing out to the referee that there goal was offside? Maybe if the officials had made the correct decision he wouldn't have been booked in the first place. Next.....

Why are so many convinced that Hart was rested? Pelle says he was injured all week - hence not on the bench Tuesday - and only trained Friday. So he was clearly a risk to play. Willy did well on Tuesday - though granted Blind Pugh probably could have done against Sunderland. You can see why he put Hart on the bench just in case but that it was preferable he did not play unless necessary.

The injury was obviously real and he must have been close to playing - hence why he travelled. If you recall Pelle said a few days ago that he hoped to have several players back from injury today - and included Hart in that list with Kompany and Zabaleta (both of whom were on the bench until Kompany was sick just before the game). On here people thought Pelle meant Hart would be back in the squad again not back from injury. But it is clear he meant what he said. You don't feign a week long injury.
