Stefan Savic

A Partizan supporting friend tells me that Savic is on a Machester bound flight. Terms agreed so I assume a medical is expected within 24 hours.

has he played the requisite number of international games to get a work permit? - seem to remember he was 3 0r 4 games light - may still cause problems

Montenegro are ranked pretty highly in the world, 16th. So I don't know if that makes any difference. If worse comes to worse he'll have to go back on loan for a season.

Savic's age, he's only 20, combined with Montenegro's high FIFA ranking should make the work permit pretty easy to obtain, even if we have to appeal.

He is a regular in their team so likelihood is he will get a permit, maybe on appeal.

anyone else find it remarkable that a country with less than 700,000 citizens and is roughly just 5,000 square miles is apparently the 16th best footballing nation in the world?

Shows how shit some nations teams really are, especially when you consider Montenegro have only existed in their own right for about 10 years!

could he become our vidic? vidic was cheap 7 million it says on wiki (wikipedia never lies).
only 20 with tons of potential. along with clichy he could become a bargain. in fact he could be like kompany.

Is he actually similar to Vidic in style? Does anyone know? It seems to me that EVERY young defender from that part of the world is at some point labelled "the new Vidic."

Didn't think it was that short a rime, although now you say it seem to remember them saying that when they played England last year, makes it even more impressive
