Yodel left £400 of Xmas presents I’d ordered for the fam on my doorstep last week.
Genuinely blew my mind they didn’t get pinched.
Been going on for weeks....hurry ends 9th December.Black Friday and Cyber Monday - what a load of old shit…….
Why ?Black Friday and Cyber Monday - what a load of old shit…….
That’ll be next - look at how Halloween has taken a grip on the UK - that’s a pile of old shit as well.Been going on for weeks....hurry ends 9th December.
Fells like all this shit started around bonfire night. More American stuff finding it's way over here and the sheep being enticed into it.
Halloween, Black Friday, surprised there's not been a push to somehow attach the UK to Thanksgiving Day!!!!
We already have a January sale that usually starts December 19th. We will have a summer sale no doubt Spring and Autumn too.Why ?
I just saved about $750 on a new fridge and washing machine, I waited a month for the black friday sale on purpose.
Last year I saved big on a new Samsung phone.
Can't speak for UK but you can get absolute big reductions here in Oz on the black friday sale.We already have a January sale that usually starts December 19th. We will have a summer sale no doubt Spring and Autumn too.
I think the British posters on here are railing against 2 things.
1. We are being Americanised.
2. How does a Black Friday sale spread out to 3 weeks ?
Did the shop/manufacturer inflate the price just to discount it ? They do here even though it's basically illegal to do so.
Right, but the exported thing was overtly religious, no schoolgirl uniforms then. Can't speak for UK but you can get absolute big reductions here in Oz on the black friday sale.
Noticing that many people in UK are anti anything American, actually Halloween was exported to America from Irish English and Scottish immigrants nineteenth century so it's not a yank import at all.

A week or so ago I was feeling peckish and short in time so I thought that I would chance my arm at the Cornish Pasty Co.Just got a statement and couldn’t believe how much I’ve paid for a coffee at costa , absolute rip off View attachment 139632
That genuinely made me laugh out loud. The yanks will celebrate anything where there's an excuse to shovel food down their fat gullets.
Halloween is perfect, they just have to waddle down the 'sidewalk' to their neighbours and if they're lucky enough to not get shot in the face, they're rewarded with several kilos of that plastic Hershey's shite that passes for chocolate over there.
You won't get anywhere over here without winter tyres but they don't help at all on ice.Councils chucking tons of salt all over the roads every time there's the slightest hint at a flake of frost. Shitloads of it spewed all over every little side street and pavement. It's fucking idiotic. A colossal waste of money, it looks awful and it causes cars to rust, especially in a permanently damp climate like ours.
People should have to take responsibility for their own driving and vehicles - learn how to drive on icy surfaces and get winter tyres, or don't drive for the three days a year we have when it's properly icy.
Does my fucking head in.
In other countries they just say fit winter tyres and deal with it.
