Stupid little things that bug you

People using the phrase "is been"........ IE "Kyle Walker is been a knob"

I am no grammer nazi and I let everything go, so we all shouod but that one really really bugs me.

9 instances of it on Bluemoon itself and the @Mods should really do something about it. It brings the site into disrepute.

I think they're doing a Bobby Mancini 'ez football'

Happy Birthday threads to players, coaches etc.
"Event / match - ** years ago today" threads.

We've played for over 130 years. Around April and May, semi finals, finals, promotion, relegation and championship winning matches are played. It seems like almost every day, there's an anniversary of some match we've played or goal we've scored. I have no problem people wanting to reminisce but maybe it's time to have a "History" forum to put all these threads in.

I put my bank card into the reader as I pay in a shop. As soon as I press a key, the reader swivels round because it has not be tightened up. D’oh.

Adverts where they amplify certain sounds. Such as the Magnum adverts where they amplify the noise where the chocolate cracks or tea/coffee adverts where they amplify the sound of someone pouring water into a mug.
Those ads in the cinema make my teeth itch. Coca Cola (or maybe it was Pepsi) amplifying the sound of the bubbles and the ring-pull opening.

The weird glasses used for selling overpriced, bland beers in.
I had a lager the other day and the glass looked as though it should have had a handle on it, yet didn't!

Been watching 1883 and 1923, and it’s very noticeable how white everyone’s teeth are.

Surely there are things, even with CGI/AI, that can be done to stain their teeth a bit more? The settings, clothing, props, practises etc. are all excellent for the time they’re supposed to be portraying, then someone will have a close-up and open their mouth and their teeth are brilliant white, stupidly white even for 2025 never mind 1923 or 1883.

Ruins the authenticity of it.

People who suddenly can’t pay their way.
Mrs KS kindly took me out for dinner last night as it was my birthday. When it came to pay, she was a little the worse for wear and couldn’t remember her PIN. Best excuse yet, I reckon. I paid for my own birthday treat. D’oh.

What part of "Road Ahead Closed" is difficult for some motorist to understand?
The top end of my road is closed off due to repair works, there is no way through, at both end there are several warning and diversion notices.
Car, vans & lorries all fail to heed them and half way up the road they see the problem, and then have to perform 3-point turns. It's a narrow road with parked cars and doing a 180 in an a lorry is not easy.

Bastard pubs that have a car park, not gated, that then charge you a fine of 100 pound for not entering your fucking registration at the till.

At no point do they make it clear. The sign is a tiny thing when you enter the carpark. No one mentions it when you go to the bar, new customers are not aware.

Fuck the Red Lion and their partners in ripping off people - Parkingeye. Won't ever be going back to that pub and iv told them. It's one big fail scam just waiting for people to make a mistake. £100 for 27 minutes of having a coffee at the pub. Fuck em
I wonder if you took it to court on the grounds that you couldn’t read what they’d say?..

Maybe the signs should be in several different languages ?
