Stupid little things that bug you

Politicians spending their days heckling each other, shouting over each other and making pantomime-like cheers/boos across a big chamber as if they are rival schools engaging in a bit of "come on then!" banter with each other. When they should actually be trying to do something that remotely looks like running the country.
Revolutionary.

Once it’s been on the knife, toast buttered, then excess scraped back into the tub… that’s ‘used’
Butter
In a........

Tub !!!!

Really !
I was going to comment when you first posted but let it pass. Not a second time.

My regional TV weather forecaster has stopped showing temperatures in both °C and °F.
My schooling days were based on imperial values and although I'm ok with most metrics, I still need to do a rough mental conversion (°C x 2+28*) (*or+30-2 sometimes easier)

Who's charging that?

Anyway what bugs me is the rising cost of everything seemingly, there are some things I just won't buy anymore like chocolate bars not only has the price gone up substantially but they have gone smaller, so I absolutely refuse to buy them any longer.
And so many shops make it better value to buy two bars rather than one. No wonder we're a country of fat bastards.

That's butter with shite added to it to make it spreadable.
Therefore it's not butter. :-)
Pedantic fucker…
I use both… whichever variety of Lurpak is on offer. If butter I also put it in these tubs, easier for me to handle due to my disability.

Anyone customer facing in the Public Sector with a sign on reception that says don’t abuse the staff. The staff then completely ignore you waiting whilst they carry on what they are doing. Five minutes later they come to the window and say “sorry for the wait”. No you’re not, so don’t take the pee. Top of the list ….hospital and doctors receptionists

For a couple of temperatures the numbers are reversible.
16°C = 61°F and 28°C = 82°F

— 40C = —40F despite my spellchecker trying to tell me something different.

For decades now my missus puts out 3 towels when I have a shower (Hey she likes doing it) and all those years I have only used one.

I tell her that has she ever wondered why 2 of the towels are always dry? She initially did it because she uses 3 towels with long hair etc, and after that it's been a tradition.
