Summer Transfers

good point, if there was ever a time to spend money it would be now.

a lot of clubs are desperate to sell players.

It's also the Covid crisis. Prices are going to be lower now, teams need to sell. If you've got enough cash to exploit, you will be set for ages.

If we got someone like Ferran Torres for £25m because prices are depressed this summer and he's out of contract before the market bounces back, that bargain has long lasting impact. It's on the FFP books for 3 years remember, and would be amortised over 5 in the accounts.

yea, good points, was thinking the same. If we were planning to buy a player next summer for example then we could even act now due to cheaper prices and save money.

there are a lot of opportunities in the market. F. Torres looks a steal at that price.

I just really hope we sign Koulibaly. Then some real competition for Mendy and our squad would be significantly better just with these two players.

Son Heung-min would be a very important signing for City.

Fast, technical, goalscorer, knows the league, can fill the Sane position, and can play as a striker. Still fairly young as well.

He would also increase the clubs brand in South Korea.

said this numerous times about him - though i expect he would cost a fortune. - wonder how long left on his contract?

Koulibaly and Alaba would be two great signings , proven experience for the next 4 years when hopefully some of these recent young signings step up . Hope to see the likes of Doyle , Palmer , Braaf more involved next season along with Foden and Garcia , the future looks healthy.

People on here losing their heads because of CAS. FFP is not over.

We didn't breach FFP before and we won't be breaching it in future. The club has to live within its means and will be ruthless in complying with the rules to make sure they're not in danger in any future investigations.
