Sunderland Vs City Post Game Discussion Thread

Someone in a earlier thread said there is no plan B this is totally true for some reason Mancini does not want to play with wide men today he had Milner playing sort of wide right position but here you have a major problem the guy hasn't put a decent ball in the box since the day he joined . He had Adam Johnson last season sat on the bench for 75% of games and when brought him on he played on the wrong side of the pitch, now he has Scott Sinclair on the bench and he can't even get on on the wrong side of the pitch.

Personally I think and I might be wrong but we need to mix our game up teams are finding it far to easy to close city down by flooding their defence and basically smothering the attempts to walk the ball into the net.

For me when Dzeko comes on I would say to him play down the middle all I want you to do is play that central position we are going to play a winger on his natural side and get the ball to him get him to play balls into the box and your job is to be on the end of them, against United when he played against them in the Champions league for Wolfsberg he scored 2 headers from the penalty spot just meeting quality balls into the box his best game last year v Spurs he was meeting balls delivered from wide and scoring then for some reason dropped but hey. And I guarantee if he played for United he would score 30 goals a year getting onto crosses from Valencia, Young etc. So that is how I see it change the play speed it up get it wide and get it in the box because we are throwing this league away .

Interesting stats...2nd highest shots, highest shots on goal (target)
Conclusion. Not clinical enough.

Look at our assist tally, lower than four teams below us. Not enough creativity from midfield or the flanks, too reliant on individual moments that couldn't go on forever (as we saw today).

i just wonder why we dont have a shot outside the pen area, we just like to walk the ball in and if it takes 100 passes the better, city start playing like champions

You've just give yourself away, Mr gold and green scalf. Stop winding decent hard working blues up

ahh deflection strategy.

Its Yellow by the way. GAY

I wish Mata played for us, immense for chelsea, already double figures in Goals and Assists

Aguero hasn't been on form since that injury. Not getting into good positions, not finishing chances, just not up to the standard we should be seeing from him. Poor.

Yaya hasn't done anything other than giving away fouls and poor passes.

Hart made a huge blunder of that shot. We can argue it should have been a stop in play, but Hart should have dealt with it better.

...And the co-commentator on my telly, who ever that is, need to get his head out of Sunderland's arse. All game I hear him jizzing all over Mignolet.

-- Thu Dec 27, 2012 4:50 am --

always backed bobby after all he brought us success, but to be honest its gone tits up from start of season, we have been figured out playwise, and some players just aint performing. i would still give bobby till end of season, because its bonkers to change midway through. some of the blame should go to over paid players, and to be honest some of the summer signings were just plain silly and have proved so. over 37yrs a city man, im used to ups and downs, well more downs to be honest.
dont just blame bobby, the players and hierarchy need to share the blame too. if we dont win anything this season, then i think its not just bobby that should go, but a good few our players who just havent performed

mancini is a legend and premier league winning manager unlike Rafa
who fergie could wrap around is little finger with the media

Aguero hasn't been on form since that injury spot on matey
a rest would do him a world of good and even make him fight for a place in the starting line up would also help him get back to last season form

not happy with the result and unwillingness to SHOOT FROM DISTANCE but hardly crisis time.

we will see what is done in january, but even so mancini has nothing to fear. he deserves much more good will and support from us all.
