Without him, the team has been galvanized and stayed at the top of the prem for 4 months. If he messes us about anymore, no one will touch him with a bargepole.
City are doing the only thing they can do in order to protect themselves - they have to let him come back. He has to put the effort in to show that he can still be an asset elsewhere.
Whether any of us like the situation or not, it is what it is, and if he belatedly does a job for us from time to time, so be it. I guess that we all hate the odious little twat - the majority of our players included in that too - but, short of paying him up for the vast majority of his contract's value, both parties just have to make the best of a bad situation.
