I can't really see what sort of urgent family problem would enable him to nip out for 5+ hours for a round of golf with 7 mates but not play 90 mins of football for the team that pays him a fortune each and every week.

The fact that he has previous for deceiving the club over 'family issues' doesn't help ease my suspicions at all.

As I`ve suggested once before on another thread 1 + 1 = 3 with some people,so lets assume that the Club were aware of his circumstances,otherwise why let him leave.City would have done some homework on the situation,before making a decison.

I'm simply speculating that those reasons might have been slightly exaggerated if he was able to spare several hours to play golf with his pals. If there was even the slightest hint that there was something untoward about his absence, the press would have been all over the story like a rash. Another "Tevez walkout" or "Tevez bust up with Mancini" story would be meat and drink to them.

The complete silence by the main press strongly suggests that they club have give them an explanation but asked them not to print it. And that they have accepted that explanation. They wouldn't gag themselves if the personal issue wasn't very serious.

Not that I'm aware of. I have openly admitted I'm wildly speculating on this one. I'm bored at work and just counting down the minutes to the end of the day.

He's declined at an incredible rate.

Ship him off to Argentina, recycle the cash, and pump it into our bid for Cavani (a player who'll actuall want to play for City)

Of course it might not be the club who have gagged the press. The courts do it all the time for all kinds of reasons.

Although I totally agree that people should be given privacy by the press in tought times it very rarely happens. Just seems a bit of a strange one to me.
