The battle for 3rd place

Say whatever you want Bill just stop with the crying and victim mentality when most basically laugh their tits off at you.

i'm no victim mate, I am a blue and one of the strongest committed blues out there. they could buy rooney anf jones i'd still want and hope for the best.

thing is its the weak blues that are the victims, its those blues that I laugh at. too weak to say it as it is. almost rag like.

i'd rather be me thanks.

Put your rod away pmsl.

Wenger got rid and he played one good season for mancini

The stats say that for most of his time at City, he was the most consistent(ly good) defender in the league. This season has not been so good but he remains the best left back at the club and that's why the manager has to pick him. Next season should be a different story.

Any manager that picks clichy on a constant basis is shite
While Stones is out Pep clearly sees Kolarov as the back-up CB and it looks like he prefers to keep him on the bench as a precaution against Kompany or Ota getting injured so picking Clichy at LB is logical and what is the alternative? Clichy is far from being a favourite of mine and has been poor for the last two or three seasons but failing to sign long-term full backs in the last two summer windows is what's hurting us, not the selection policy.

lol. i'm serious. I am glad i'm me.

We all are mate and wouldn't have it any other way.

there must be a better left back at the club than clichy. also how can a makeshift right back, fern or navas, be better than zab?
I am truly puzzled by his team sheets.

Exactly.

thought i'd list a few games where Pep took the piss and got burnt.
Celtic away.
Everton at home
Boro at home
Burnley away
Stoke at home
Boro away.

we eventually won at Burnley but we drew the rest. 8 prem points right there.

Can I ask how Pep "took the piss" against Celtic away?

Played 4-1-4-1, the same formation and team which won the previous 10 games...

Still waiting to see if I'll get an answer for this.

And the winner is............

We do also know the he tried to sign Alex Sandro & Theo Hernandez last summer and didn't get them. One has become one of the top 2 or 3 left backs in the world and the other was in a transfer battle between Real Madrid and Barcelona before Real signed him last week.

Pep's mistake IMO was that when we missed some key targets last summer, he seemingly decided to wait a year for the very best, rather than bring in players who were a bit of an improvement over Clichy/Kolarov/Zaba/Sagna but not world class.
