My source came good here is the Carl Frampton fight from last night up in Belfast. Put him in there with Scott Quigg now and he will blast the lad out of there.

Do you think he's good enough to win a world title Leighton? I don't know a lot about the super bantamweight division tbh, other than the Cuban lad Rigondeaux, Wilfredo Vazquez Jr and Caballero who lost last week. Any depth in that division?

If he keeps progressing the way he is he has every chance of winning a World title still early days. Yet to see him in any troble but he was a part of the Irish high preformace team won Irish am titles so he can box to a high standard but unlike others he has some power.

To be honest Super Bamtamweight has some bangers about I will start off at European level. Past European title winners Dunne , Kiko Martinez and Munroe also Booth 3 of the 4 have boxed for World titles with Dunne beating Caballero in the o2 in the fight of the year I was ringside that night a great atmosphere. All the top European fighters in this Division are from Ireland and the UK along with Kiko. Willie Big Bang Casey European title holder who is in line to fiight Rigondeaux and it could be set for Paddys week 17th of March. Then you would have both Booth and Munroe who both got beaten in World title fights this year. Next come Hyland , Quigg and now more than likely Frampton this weight division is buzzing here.

On the World level the worst champion out there would be Steve Monlitor who beat Booth. Nishioka who beat Munroe. Then the other champion is Ryol Li Lee who got a home town decision over the best Super Bamtamweight boxing out there Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym in both his losts he was done on the cards. He is a small Pacman in the making hard as nails went to Dublin and smashed Dunnes face in he is by far the best out there in this division tends to have to fight on the road a lot. The 2 champions in Japan wont leave so it leaves Monlitor as the easier option on World level. Not too sure about Rigo feel he will be banged out of it against Poonsawat if they ever boxed and if that fight took place in the US then Poonsawat would be a star. Below is his fight with Dunne very brutal.

I've actually seen Poonsawat a few times, thought he was a featherweight for some reason. Not really seen enough of him to make a judgement but Rigondeaux is someone I rate highly, brilliant technical boxer but not sure he has the power.

IF Rigondeaux V Casey gets made I will hopefully be heading down to watch the fight. Seems a bit light weight for this division I think Casey may well have a punchers chance to win the fight he has a come forward non stop style I dont know if Rigondeaux will be able to keep him off for all of the fight.

Have a look at Sky tonight if they show Ormond a Dublin lad who left Ireland for the US for a year and he was doing well out there Warren signed him up as soon as he came home so Warren seems to have high hopes for him but I have yet to see any of his fights. So I dont know what to expect from him. Knowing Warren he wouldnt throw away his money if he wasnt a decent contender or prospect.

Ricky to win by late stopage or on points. I think it is shocking he is not fully professional Warren would want to get the dosh out. His only World Champion he promotes still works in a sports shop it seems fucked up to me.

Burns fight was half decent. Still think he gets knocked out as soon as he fights anybody remotely close to world class level. Presumably Warren knows this, so he will do his best to keep him away from danger for a little while.

In other Boxing related news, Alexander Dimitrenko fainted before his Heavyweight fight with Albert Sosnowski. The fight was cancelled. Odd.
