Even if it was the round before he'd have won that. No idea why he waited until the very end.
Why don't they have replays in Boxing to check for a clash of heads? You'd think so with the amount of money involved. Not sure how that would have helped Parker if he was feeling it, maybe given them a minute to recover and get checked by the doc?
Taylor would have a shot at Croker I reckon with the right opponent and undercard, every boxing fan in the country would be looking for a ticket along with most of the casuals.
She'd piss filling the point and there would be a lot of people annoyed that they couldn't get a ticket.
There's the points thing but as someone said there was a punch in there last night, so maybe it would have stood depending on how the ref saw it. I was thinking about more than that though because it could still be used to give a fighter extra time to recover as you would with a low blow. This is potentially much more impactful than a low blow, bone to bone clashes are not good as tough as nails as some of these guys are. Maybe the right thing to do is to get the fighter checked over by the ringside doc if his corner wants it. I imagine most would every time unless they are sure it's not affected their fighter.regarding VAR in boxing reviewing clash of heads. Not a bad idea always can review it in between rounds. And if a knock down was given just cancel it. Sure the ref in the ring should be able to call it 9 times out of 10. So really not much need for it.
Come to think of it Froch and co did repeatedly point out he was looking away a lot too, maybe that was because of the ear.Seems like the clash of heads caused Parker to sustain a perforated ear drumand he lost his senses for a couple of rounds. That would make sense to me because he was in complete control and looking fast and alert in the first two rounds before looking lethargic and uninterested after that. On that basis alone you would think a rematch will be inevitable at some point and that might be one that Parker could win.
