The Conservative Party

Can't they honour the triple lock and still have a signed death warrant?
Obviously it was floated to gauge reaction and quickly dropped.

I can't believe Truss was still going on about protecting people from energy prices when the protection's been cut from 2 years to 6 months.

No one picked her up on that, she kept repeating it as a victory when in reality we could be facing some horrific bills this time next year.

Absolutely doesn’t in my experience.

A few months ago I was given an agency contract to sign, by default I was expected to contract out of 48 hour limit, there was no option to choose it was just a standard term of the contract.

I didn't sign it and didn't approach the agency.

I'm not sure the experience of a senior financial services worker is as of much relevance to the Tories' evil plan as those of the workers at the bottom.

If people in finance want to voluntarily work themselves into an early grave because of their own addiction to their job or greed, that's their own business.

If this goes badly we might have a new PM by Monday.

There’s a lot of MPs who will lose their jobs if they vote in favour of fracking.

Personally, I think she went off script and went against what Hunt (and the Cabinet) wanted to do, which is keep all options open including pensions.

At some point they may have backtracked, but it makes little sense to box yourself in at this stage. It’s not as if the public can be any more enraged at the Govt then they are right now, so Hunt might as well take the heat for it early on.

That is insane. Can’t see this getting to a vote on these terms. The Govt may be barking mad, but there has to be a limit, surely?

…waiting for the inevitable reply :)
