If you look at the raw unweighted data behind this chart the Tories don’t actually get over 20% until the age 65+ bracket.

The only reason it looks even this favourable is because their model corrects for things like “Don’t Knows” and likelihood of turnout - historically weighted in the Tories direction.

I think pollsters have their work cut out this time in predicting whether that actually ends up being the case.

About a quarter of their voteshare in these polls is reliant on other party voters staying home and Don’t Knows flipping Tory on election day.

Heard some Tory on the radio this morning who, when asked the question, blamed the issues of prisons on … you guessed it, Labour! He then basically waffled on about Labour leaving a broken state, education and infrastructure fucked, NHS with record waits, anything an everything being Labours fault.

No wonder they never fixed anything, they’ve spent 13 years blaming Labour while they syphoned off the money elsewhere.

Forget the science, follow the money via the old boy network. Contract given to Serco… run by a chap who attended Eaton and was a member of the Bullingdon Club.
There will be no individual consequences for these robbing, self- serving bastards. Just got to hope the slow drip-drip of news from the Inquiry adds more nails to the coffin lid.

Posted my reply here rather than divert the Palestine-Israel thread. How bankrupt both morally and politicaly, not to mention stupid, do you need to be to take the approach he does here?

We have the absolute dregs and bottom feeders of politics governing us, it's terrifying.

however you won't go to prison .... cos they're full and the private company that operate the prison service (SERCO) are struggling to recruit enough prison officers.

Then he got onto sulking about the BBC and getting properly beaten up with his twaddle. John Simpson's piece was measured and explained exactly why, yet a senior government minister sees no issue in calling it "unfortunate"

(yes, some of the interview is about Israel/Hamas, but not posted for that subject).

Is there or has there ever been a more dislikeable politician than Grant Schapps?

He is so full of bullshit and does not seem to know very much about anything, even the work of the departments for which he is the Secretary of State.

Whenever he's on the news being interviewed he always has to have the "important" red box in the background, just to show off.

This a man who made a lot of money selling a book that teaches people how to rip people off by pyramis selling.

There have been many rotten, horrible politicians but this typical toff really does take the fucking biscuit. I hope his constituents see the light.
