Last year in the FAC v Burnley there was also a train strike and the busiest I have seen it for parking.and away fans.................many won't have a clue and will be in for a shock that Wednesday night.

I know the neighbourhood isn’t the best and it’s often tipping it down, but a mile walk there and a mile walk back isn’t going to kill you.They could mitigate this by providing extra capacity on their trams/bus network on matchdays.
However that makes sense and councils never use that.

I get your point. I walk from Piccadilly when I'm up for a match. About 25 minute walk. Being a fatty I'm ready for an ambulance by the time I arrive either end. Not if there is no transport to where you are going when you get there. The majority of people don't live in town?? Why would they walk there? If you are going to town pre/post match, then that's fine. There's plenty of anecdotal evidence on this thread of why there is absolutely no need for these restrictions coming into play.
