according to the daily mirror and skyMUtv, he's the best player that god himself ever put breath into !!
Always overated in my view ...... good player yes , but certainly not a great one ...... and it must piss Leeds fans off bigstyle that their club is never mentioned whenever people bring his name up ....... after all that was his initial destination , and that was where he won his first English honours ...... i still say that the rags 'tapped him up' ..... why would a club who had just won the league like like Leeds sell their new found idol to their hated enemy at the Swamp for only £1 million , and practically overnight at that!
Cant agree. Howard Wilkinson had foresight. He brought Cantona to Leeds in the first place. The other side capitalised big time. Not only that they beat Leeds 4.0 at their place 1996,which was Wilkinson’s coup de grace. Also about Wilkinson he had a youth policy in place that wasn’t quite ready to get on the stage when he was dismissed. Kewell, smith, woodgate, Bowyer ,there may have been a few others. He had them in place, yet there’s never enough time in football. The rest is history George Graham and David O’Leary took the glory when the kids produced. O'Leary's Leeds never finished outside of the top five.blue dallas said:because their coach at the time was a clueless tit called howard wilkinson

Gérson and Tostão are often overlooked although Pele was clearly awesome.
