I'm not particularly keen on Charles myself but I wouldn't be surprised if he was railroaded into marrying Diana for the reason you state rather than him planning it himself.

I certainly think that he gets a free pass from the press on certain things due to his status though, while others further down the food chain don't. Edward keeps a low profile and there never seems to be any scandal surrounding him, but I remember him getting slaughtered in the press years ago for dropping out of the Marines.

While Andrews alleged sexual exploits now seem well and truly buried in the distant past.

Diana did have friends from before and after the marriage whom she obviously would visit and they could be excuses for getting out. I am not sure if Meghan managed to make friends over here which could affect her well being.

Always liked Harry the most and I genuinely believe he is trying to protect his wife snd family. Only he knows what he has to protect them from, but looks and sounds like the taste Meghan got was a sour one.

They may have centuries of inbreeding, but it’s always been “white blood!” How very dare he? And did you hear that Preacher at the wedding and see that choir?! Enough to make your cucumber sandwich curl up at the edges!

I don’t like her and it’s got absolutely nothing to do with the fact that she is in any way black - and nor does it mean I don’t have sympathy for the way she’s been treated. I just don’t like her.
