The Labour Government

Change is the mantra of the Labour Government. They certainly live up to that, changing their policies every other week. Still, we are where we are.

Useful, but I actually asked YOU what should be the correct level for our pensions. You must have an opinion.
More than £12,000 and ideally I'd like £20,000 but thats dreaming. Maybe what politicians get paid or their increases each year.

£12,000 or even £15,000 is fuck all nowadays.

That's just my opinion you seem to desperately want.

Looking after your elderly is something I think is a priority and they deserve a decent retirement.

Never happening in GREAT Britain. Along with a fucked NHS.

A hard sell to the working population that one I'm afraid especially to fund the richer age demographic. Doubt I will even get a state pension if the time comes that's why I do 10% in my work one and even that's probably not enough.
they've already done the u turn on WFA....that'll do me for now.

Plus you have no idea if a state pension will be unavailable in the future or not.

Not my problem....Government pie problem mate. Plus it was a wish not a realistic vision.
No, it is very definitely your/mine/our problem. I agree, and I'm sure most of us do, with you that ideally it should be higher. But it is totally naive to not, at the same time, question how to fund it. Are you happy that your taxes, or more importantly your kid's and grand kids taxes go up to fund your/my pension and to a smaller degree the WFA of a household with an income of nearly £70000?

Can't afford to pay the state pension due to fewer working people paying taxes for an ageing population, Just wait 5 years until AI decimates the job market, and all the while we continue to pay fortunes in areas we shouldn't have to.

whine to Reeves not me matey.

I cannot stop what they choose to do.

She has come up with her formula that she thinks we can afford. Who am I to argue?

They are all cunts ....that's my opinion too.

And how much do you reckon you need to pay in to get £20k a year from the state?

its not what HE is prepared to pay its how much those working and paying taxes are prepared to pay when he retires. You don't "pay in" to anything except existing pensioners income. The big issue is how many of them will there be when you retire?

Reeves clarified the WFA will be for anyone with an income of under £30thousand, they don’t have to apply presumably as we already know by the amount of income tax paid, the inland revenue is well aware how much a pensioner exists on…..after trying to pull the worst possible stunt Reeves has relented.

Why do you think you won't get a state pension.
