You could not make it up. Labour and Conservative are now working together to reject all Reform members from local government so that the Status Quo can be maintained. I am not a great fan of Reform, but I cannot stand anymore of the ridiculousness that goes on in the House of Commons.

The status quo might be shit but it's still better than Reform so unless someone comes along that's better than the status quo then I'm all for keeping Reform out - if that's an unlikely Lab/Con coalition or voting Lib Dem/Green then so be it. Personally, I'd like to see a government where the Lib Dems and the Greens have a say as well because they can both can bring something useful to the table and they can help keep the other 2 main parties in check, but Reform can go and get fucked. What policy commitments are those? I can't see too many but to take the biggest one of the lot - they were banging on about increasing the tax-free personal allowance to £20,000 but as soon as they got questioned on it as to how it would be paid for, they scrapped that idea. I don't dispute there's every possibility they won't honour their commitments and they'll turn out to be just as damaging to the UK as the status Quo we've had in place for so long now.

They've clarified they won't reduce taxes until they've firstly reduced spending which seems entirely logical to me, I'm not sure how anyone thought they could do it any other way?What policy commitments are those? If immigration matters to the majority of the public, how come they're only polling at around 30%? Obviously the biggest issue that matters to the majority of the voting public is their commitment to reduce immigration, who knows if they'll honour that commitment or if they'll be just as bad as the status quo when it comes to allowing mass immigration to continue at its current catastrophic levels.

I don't dispute there's every possibility they won't honour their commitments and they'll turn out to be just as damaging to the UK as the status Quo we've had in place for so long now.
Daily Mail.Tories must be digging into her affairs very deeply to uncover this (and it was the letting agents fault) Shame they dont pay as much attention when their mates do it.
Unfortunately Trump is a lot more popular in this country than is comfortable tbh.I think the easiest way to look at what is likely to happen with Reform in power is by looking west to Trump's America. The playbook is very similar and the networks operating behind the scenes suggest very close ties.
Forget individual policies, I think the defining question for anyone thinking of voting Reform out of frustration with the two main parties is do you want to live under a version of Trumpism because that's what you'll get. With one key difference...
The main difference is that we don't have the critical mass and economic heft and resilience to survive some of the things going on over there. We'll be put to the sword much quicker than the US ever would be.
