Yep. Welsh Labour are now suddenly very keen on PR after years of rejecting it, only because they've now realised the only way to stop Reform is to have a Marxist coalition of Welsh Labour and Plaid.

I wouldn't even be surprised if Labour and the Tories formed a coalition to prevent Reform from winning the next General Election, the two of them are already the RedBlue Uniparty anyway.

The status quo might be shit but it's still better than Reform so unless someone comes along that's better than the status quo then I'm all for keeping Reform out - if that's an unlikely Lab/Con coalition or voting Lib Dem/Green then so be it. Personally, I'd like to see a government where the Lib Dems and the Greens have a say as well because they can both can bring something useful to the table and they can help keep the other 2 main parties in check, but Reform can go and get fucked. You think it's shit now but I guarantee that if Reform got in then it would be a damn sight shitter.

I don't dispute there's every possibility they won't honour their commitments and they'll turn out to be just as damaging to the UK as the status Quo we've had in place for so long now.

What policy commitments are those? I can't see too many but to take the biggest one of the lot - they were banging on about increasing the tax-free personal allowance to £20,000 but as soon as they got questioned on it as to how it would be paid for, they scrapped that idea. If they're binning off major policies like that nearly 4 years out from a General Election then I'd love to see what their manifesto looks like with 6 months to go.

They are as close together as they have ever been in fairness, well the cabinet are. Some of their MPs have stood up to Starmer and Reeves so credit is due there.

Obviously the biggest issue that matters to the majority of the voting public is their commitment to reduce immigration, who knows if they'll honour that commitment or if they'll be just as bad as the status quo when it comes to allowing mass immigration to continue at its current catastrophic levels.

If immigration matters to the majority of the public, how come they're only polling at around 30%? That's because most people aren't gullible enough to think immigration is the main issue or the only issue.

As for reducing taxes, Tice was banging on a couple of months back that they were definitely going to bring in the £20,000 tax-free allowance. Now they're coming up with excuses as to why they can't do it. Fact is that they'll never do it even if they do manage to reduce spending. And they'll struggle to reduce spending anyway, given that they've completely and utterly failed to do it at local level.

They're a shambles of a party - run by grifters and chancers and full of incompetence and inexperience

The fact that she changed her initial story so completely, and in such short order, is the most damning aspect of this.

You get your partner to deal with the trivia whilst you're now dealing with the country as a whole. However the couple communicated during that time, we won't know, but I bet there wasn't much time for in-depth conversations. You have employed a company to carry out a professional service and they have advise that they will resolve the licence issue. They fail to do so and neither spot that £900 hasn't left their account, and neither do the agents follow up on their commitment to apply for the licence nor bill them for the work not carried out.

I managed to get my wife's car on the road without an MOT a few years ago as a result of the pandemic changing MOT dates. Embarassing- yes, my fault-yes, my wife's fault-no because I was the one who sorted that stuff out.

I think polling shows he's viewed favourably by about 15-17% of people in the UK which would suggest to me that not everyone thinking of voting Reform approves of him. For that group of people one thing they might want to think about is how closely Reform is aligned to that Trumpian approach and also if a UK administration tried to mimic some of the things he's done, are we a 'big' enough country to withstand the impacts if/when it goes wrong?

Voting Reform as a protest isn't a free hit that we can rewind if it doesn't work out. It's pretty much playing russian roulette with most of the chambers loaded..

I suppose it depends on what they are protesting about, the country is hugely split and I think people are genuinely struggling to find a suitable party. The polls are mental reform with a big lead and Labour Tories LD and greens in the teens.

I wonder how popular Trump is compared to the other UK party leaders within the UK Whether you see yourself more left or right leaning its hard to pick a side. Im not sure even left or right has as much meaning anymore.
