To be fair H. I`ve never f`d and blinded in front of my missus of 46 years,as from the onset she would pull me up about it.We both swear in moderation in one anothers company, but she knows what I`m like whilst watching City on the tv that now and again the odd word will slip out.
Good job she`s not a footie fan and come to a City game ... she`d leave well before the early leavers ... probably with 88 minutes still left. ;)
I love that Oakie, that respect. Wish I was more like that with my mrs problem is she can F and Jeff with the best of them. She’s from an Irish family and that.

Did you feel the same when we left the Football League to join the Premier League? If not, why not?

The premier league was formed when 5 clubs threatened to break away and form their owm mini league.

Unlike now where most clubs were less powerfull and so the rest of the 1st division capitulated and agreed to their demands as the FA backed them up too

We fans then had pther shit to deal with tbf and I remember many calling the prem a load of shit at the time amd that is was a pathetic power grab.

Also to those looking at Bayern and PSG.

Having thought about it, assuming they were offered, they would have considered it, don't be naive enough to think they wouldn't. However there are some big factors which separate those clubs from Chelsea and City:

Bayern - Here is the 50+1 rule of the Bundesliga - In order to obtain a license to compete in the Bundesliga, a club must hold a majority of its own voting rights. The rule is designed to ensure that the club's members retain overall control, by way of owning 50% of shares, +1 share, protecting clubs from the influence of external investors.

PSG - They finally have influence with UEFA, they have a seat on the executive board and via beIN their owners have invested too much in the CL already to simply walk away at this point.

There were some massive hurdles for those clubs which probably made it a no go, had they not had those, I don't believe for second they wouldn't have been persuaded to sign up, the same way Chelsea and City were.

In regard to PSG, I'd say the World Cup in Qatar and the possible ramifications on that had they agreed to join, played a big part.
